Brathwaite, with the right attitude will be a star in the making. Very composed and solid player a la Chanderpaul. Undid his hard work in the 1st innings of the 1st test with his sub-par displays as the series went on but I am confident he'll be a good batsman with experience.
To be honest WI players seem more geared towards the shorter form of the game than Tests. Not very many know how to stick around the wicket and grind runs off bowlers.
I think it is only Gayle that is "banned" from the W.I team though, provided all are fit and don't mess up they should be available for selection.
The weakened side wasn't because others were unavailable, it was the selectors that seemed to feel that a fresh start was needed or to try something new, though my gripe is that there were other players in the regional 1st class tournaments that deserved a place in the WI team.
It wasn't all that long ago our 606 arm-chair experts were predicting the Pakistan test matches to be over with-in 3 days as well......
Yet they still chest beat.....
We chest beat because we are the best test match and T20 playing cricket team on earth
I am actually injured because during the past 3 years I have been beating my chest so much. You mention Pakistan alot, I wonder why Hard to find another team isn't it
It's our time.
