I really want us to sign Werner in the summer but I worry he will struggle up against parked defences every week. Apparently he only thrives in a counter attack system with loads of space.

But then people had similar doubts about Vardy and he’s done brilliantly this season in a different system. So Werner should be able to adapt as well given his quality.

Keane saying some nonsense about Lamps getting an easier ride because he's English. No Roy it's because we had a transfer ban in a summer where we really needed some signings while losing our very best player in the process. Not to mention that Lamps is only in his second year as a manager and his very first in the PL.

8:15 is a really odd time for a game

Add to that superb, ole had been there for 6 months as well. We didn’t get frank till half way through the summer. Massive differences

Salah actually does. The key for Liverpool is getting it to him quickly when he’s isolated. Then usually it’s a simple cut in and shot. Our issue is moving the ball to our wingers and striker too slowly

yeah this is the problem with our team in general which is why i don't think signing a 33 cavani will make a blind bit of difference

need more focus and either tactics or the players in the final third, willian is a massive problem holding on the ball too long

All depends on where his head is...if he thinks he can make a difference & gets given a genuine chance instead of being on the bench backing up Tammy he might well be very useful

I'd love us to play two up front....this is all conjecture mind, we might not get him

Looks like Man Utd are sniffing around Cavani so if he's coming to the PL it seems more likely he's going there at this point.

yeah the injury to cavani could be pivotal in that. I do not want him, but could be inspired on a short term loan if he scores 10 goals for them.

Would worry me if Lampard sanctions any significant outlay on him, not to mention his wage demands which are reportedly north of 300k/wk.

I'd be surprised if Cavani at 32 would be a big success joining the PL for the first time midseason.

If we got him, I think he'd be most valuable in the CL.

He's still younger than say Giroud so I don't think that Cavani's age is huge issue. He obviously wouldn't be here for the long haul but if he came for 18 months then he could do a lot in that time and it would give the club plenty of time to find another striker for the long term.
