I'd rather have brought Kepa back here as number 1 instead of Sanchez. I thought we'd upgrade after finally moving Kepa out on loan but we somehow got even worse with Sanchez lol

Sanchez gets a hard time but most of his errors which is what people remember him for came from him being asked to play out from the back which is on the manager

Nah his errors came from being a substandard keeper who has no business being our number 1.

Same argument applies to Kepa. He was only really bad for us w/Lampard who's fairydust tactics gave zero protection to the entire defence. Besides that he's actually been alright + possibly our best player in 22-23.

Both Sanchez & Kepa aren't good enough. Neither was Mendy imo. Petrovic was serviceable but not Chelsea GK standard if I'm being honest (in the Begovic catagory, cracking backup). We never replaced Courtois.

the thing that keeps Kepa close to Sanchez would only be his error rate is lower, Sanchez beats him everywhere else

Kepas one of the most average keepers ive ever seen at the top level, not good at anything in particular

Neither is Sanchez really. Best part of his game is probably shot stopping & it's nothing special.

Mendy had something. His long disturbution (with no backlift) was quite impressive.

Not really - Muds got banned for stuff primarily used in Eastern Europe and often taken by their athletes in that neck of the woods

Chelsea maintain their price for Nicolas Jackson. When Chelsea called for Ekitike, the answer was €100m, I’m not saying Jackson is the same but Chelsea would want important money. Impossible for Italian clubs at current conditions. Chelsea won’t sit at the table for £40m. (@FabrizioRomano)
