My presumption is Enzo in a couple of seasons
Maybe even next summer Madrid will try something
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He does smell like the type doesn't he? He ditched Benfica very quickly, something tells me he won't be a profressional if Real seriously pursue him.
If Estevao hits it off with us, at some point we'll inevitably have to deal with Barcelona there.
Palmer I think we're fine as long as he's always getting games. I get strong Hazard vibes from him, no bothered enough about anything to entertain a move
Had a weird dream we sold Palmer to Napoli lol

feels like i was a young lad when the Simons saga began
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We usually have one big summer transfer saga that drags forever. This could be it I fear.
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has emerged as a serious option for Newcastle as they face defeat in the race for Benjamin Sesko.

Sesko’s chosen United
Carragher predicting us for 4th, says none of our signings have improved the team.
Has to be at least as much as Sesko is costing, otherwise I'd rather keep Jackson.
I'd rather keep him but I am not sure Jackson's happy starting a season as 3rd choice and from the club's pov this is the summer to get maximum value for him.
I think he's done well, on balance, for a player brought in with no support and little top level experience at £30m and told to lead the line for a huge club in a transitional period with big expectations. He's got things to work on but 30 goals in 80 games is a very decent level for someone that raw - comparable to many more polished forwards.
I'd want £70m minimum tbh.

That's because most of our signings are unknowns/talented players and we don't know if they will work out or not.
Exception is João Pedro as he's got premier league experience and I believe he improves us.
I agree with 4th, more because the other teams are ahead of us in terms of ready made squads. I'm hoping we close the gap on them though
I reckon 3rd, think Arsenal have missed the boat to win something and could be on the way down.
carragher putting us at 4th which is generous.
i have us winning it or coming close
The core of our team is another year older are now trophy winners some smart signings have already improved us
We also go into the season with some continuity with Maresca who is looking every bit of a top coach Chelsea thought he would be
Chelsea
Liverpool
Man city
Arsenal
I reckon:
Pool
Arsenal
City
Chelsea
The CWC final was super promising, but most likely we'll continue to be an inconsistent young team, with a fair number of signings to integrate.
I think Liverpool will sign Isak, and probably run away to the title.

The conference was a freeby, but getting CL was brilliant, then we snagged that World Club cup....I mean...schooling PSG was special
Got very high hopes now given what we've bought & got shot of thus far
I feel more bullish about cups - including CL.
I think finishing top 4 will be a struggle like it always is but we should finish in those CL positions. I expect us to do really well in the CL.
4th is the lowest we'll finish, Newcastle haven't hardly strengthend at all and once Isak leaves they're significantly weaker. Villa have to sell before they can buy. Spurs and Manchester United are too far back.
The main 3 concerns going into the season for me are:
1 - How does the CWC impact our season? Slow start as we have barely had any pre season or do we tire out later on in the season?
2 - We’ve changed most of our attack. How long will it take them to gel together?
3 - No more resting players during the week with CL football. How will our best players respond to playing 2 important games a week for the first time in their careers?
2. May be a little overblown given we can start with our entire starting attack still from last season if Maresca wants to except the left wing
Jackson
LW Palmer Neto
everything behind that can also be the same
No idea where we finish in the league (hopefully top four) but I think we could win the CL this coming season. Especially if we round off this good transfer window signing Simons.
I agree with evrything you said TLLL and would also add:
4 - The fitness of Moises and our other defensive minded players (Lavia and our CBs).
Feel we are massively lacking here and any long term injury to our main man Moises could completely derail our season as i dont know Enzo trust anyone else.........hopefully a question that doesnt need answering but with the amount of foot ball we are expecting to play might be a big ask
Would Jackson even want to move to Newcastle knowing he’s like their 10th choice striker signing after being rejected by every other striker out there? 😂
