Those who don't like Maresca aren't going to want to hear this but with him being part of the City academy I wouldn't rule him out of the City job at some point down the line after Pep inevitably leaves.

Not saying he directly replaces Pep and not saying that it's definite as things would need to go right for Maresca between now and then. But getting sacked by Chelsea means nothing as many of the top managers have been sacked by us. We're a sacking club.

Just seen the C Palace vs Liverpool highlights. Palace could've score 6 in the first half.

I've just realized there isn't a trendy manager on the market atm. The Bournemouth manager is the closest in PL terms but there's no Alonso or Amorim.

Tbh...the only serious concern I have with Maresca is his performance last week. It seems he went too defensive too soon today, but that is only what I read.

I think he is OK, and I certainly thinks he still deserves the whole season. Notwithstanding a repeat of the Man United debacle

Said during the game - calling our defence sheet was offensive to actual sheet defences!

The fact that all their goals basically came from unnecessary mistakes and our defence basically sleeping. Like Welbecks first goal he was by himself in the middle of the goal less than six yards out. Our closest player to him was probably Sanchez and our closest defender to him was yards away watching, watch the replay the CB just watches him jog past and stands on the penalty admiring the cross!

Fortunately they're on stupidly long contracts so Madrid's normal free transfer tricks won't work. So if they want them, they'd have to pay stupid money for them. Caceido is a nonstarter but could see us being tempted for Enzo if we could make a profit
