With the money they are putting into the club, they can call it what they want.
I'm sure when your new stadium is built there will be naming rights.

"I'm sure when your new stadium is built there will be naming rights."

They may be offered out, but will there be any takers?

Won't it be called the Freebie Stadium? Seeing as that's what it is?

King Power Stadium is a carp name.

Doesn't scan properly, sounds like a venue for Monster Trucks not football.

(Oh for crying out loud they've taken the best _and) worst of 606 and even done stupid things like banning inoffensive words like "cr ap" on here too - erm, why?)

Ray, totally agree but your chances of getting planning permission was slim before we didnt get the world cup and with the added fact that it would have to be fully funded by your owner/board its very unlikely that it will happen in the near future.

We don't want a new ground, no one has said we want a new ground. Sheep putting words in our mouths again.

I've yet to see an original insult from a sheep on here. Is there any chance that any of you will think them through before posting as it gets a little tedius, thank you.

King Power sounds like the sort of name an eight year old gives his favourite action figure.

Are bin robbers to become the new Power Rangers??

posted on 5/7/11

Or was it a typo in the article and it should read 'Ring Power' or 'Bin Robber'??

No true derby fans could honestly say they prefer prideless park to the baseball ground

Not the greatest name ever but again generating alot of money for the team.

Leicester are moving forward, Notts appear not to be

posted on 5/7/11

why? because they have named their stadium something ridiculous to get cash. that isn't moving forward. they spent a lot of cash last season and they were still awful towards the end.

Thought you only cared about Derby!!!!

Would you of made an article about this if it were just any other club you didn't care about? Say Burnley for example.

I think not. Laughable. Night boys and girls

Probably wouldn't have posted anything about Burnley, but then they are not relatively local to us now are they.

As we are all in the East Midlands, it's interesting to see what your friendly neighbouring teams are up to don't you think? And as the article I read caused me a wry smirk I thought I'd share - that OK with you little chap?

Reasoned argument is a terrible thing don't you think.

The owners of our club own the company King power, so that's why we have the name, it's getting us big exposure in Asia, so if it gives us more money to spend on players I can live with it.
If your chairman said we will get x amount to spend if we give the stadium a sponsors name would you turn it down, I doubt it

They can call it the Bin Robber stadium if they want as long as they keep chucking the money in!
