As long as no other club goes unbeaten during a PL season, I'm not fussed.

I congragulate Juve and Porto for their achievements, because its one of the hardest feats to achieve.

Feel so happy for Del Piero and Buffon,.who refused to leave Juve (when they were relegated) even though they had offers from the biggest European clubs. Class.

I think it's a bigger deal in England because the last time it happened was in the late 1800s, but in Italy the last unbeaten season was Milan in 92 I think and Madrid also had one in the 50s or 60s.
Still not any less of an achievement, really happy for
juve as well; new stadium, unbeaten season and
champions, back where they belong.

Indeed, congrats to Juve. And anyone who watches Italian football and doesn't just conform to the 'it's rubbish' stereotype will be aware quite how technically gifted a league it is. Great achievement.

There've only ever been 2 unbeaten seasons in Spain, both pre-war:

Athletic Bilbao in 1929/30 and R.Madrid in 1931/32 - both over just 18 games though.

Apparently, it's never been done in post-war Germant either.

Interesting link on different types of unbeaten streaks in world footy:

Real Madrid did go a massive 121 games unbeaten at home in the league though - from Feb 1957 to March 1965.

Real Sociedad's 38 game unbeaten streak spanned 2 different seasons.

Juve would become just the 3rd team to do it in post-war Italy. As well as Milan, mentioned earlier, Perugia went unbeated in 78/79, but only finished 2nd after winning just 11 and drawing 19 matches out of 30.

Every 'great' feat in football has been done...

everyone says Man U 1999 was amzing (which it was) as they won the treble....

but we know that this has been done in other countries
