Nope, not even slightly. I believe we will take thos experience and learn from it. We will strengthen in the window. We've been through darker times than this in the not too distant past, so I see no reason to be negative.
Players like Modric, Bale, Van Der Vaart have to realise that they should be qualifying for the Champions League with Spurs. They had a brilliant opportunity to get automatic qualification this year and they blew it. They don't deserve moves to 'bigger clubs' if they can't achieve what they set out to with Spurs.
I'd have to agree with palmers but when did logic ever get in the way of a footballer thinking he deserves more?
palmers_spur.
Whilst i agree, footballers though are absolutely thick as two planks, and do not give a fig abut actually thinking it was partly there fault that Spurs did not quaify for the CL.
Palmer...that is correct. It's all very well blaming HR for "taking his eye off the ball" but ultimately it is the players fault, few are exempt from criticism whether it is missed chances, level of performance, defensive lapses
(Bale, Modric, van der Vaart, Kaboul...)

vdv has already said he is staying no matter what
kaboul signed a new contract about two weeks ago
thanks for your concern though

Yes you are both right...Modric & Co will blame everyone but themselves for Spurs' failure to get 3rd. I am obviously concerned about losing key players. However, we have had this happen to us in the past with Carrick and Berbatov and we recovered. We must do so again if this happens. It is simply frustrating that on those occasions I don't feel we were good enough to be competing with the top teams, this season we were and for whatever reason failed to see it through.
I do think there are players around who can be very effective though and who are not in the Champions League. Look at Arteta for example, Arsenal took a gamble on him but he is turning into a very good player for them. We need our scouts to find someone similar if we lose Modric.
if modric wants to go then let him.
there are one hundred modric's out there who havent beeb discovered yet.
just hope we have active scouts.
there is plenty of talent in smaller eastern european leagues and in france germany and south america
