Great card.

Mir was totally outclasses and out thought. He didnt looked bothered one bit. Why he only tried one takedown I have no idea!

JDS takedown defense looked superb. He reminded me of BJ's take down defense in his pomp. I liked the way he shook his finger at Mir when he shrugged off the attempt!

What did Herman do to upset Dana?

Really pleased for Hardy

Will be an interesting next fight for Sass next.

Mir needed to create angles and take him down but at times he just stood still and made himself look like a punchbag. I think JDS v Valasquez 2 will be a lot different to the last fight.

Dana just said Herman doesnt take fighting seriously and he turned up to the weigh in for his last fight in a purple scarf and Dana said he wasnt a fan of his shenanigans.

I celebrated Dan Hardys win as much as any fight i can remember. I cant remember wanting a fighter to win so much.

When Sass subbed him in the 1st round i literally couldnt believe it...

Did you see Lesnar there. What do you think thats all about?

I don't know why Mir gave up on the takedown after one flimsy effort either, very disappointed with his performance... takedown and submission was the only way he could win and he gave up.

Great show though, Cain was brutal, Big Country lands a big one at last and Hardy saves his job despite celebrating too early!!

Was also shocked to see Varner beat Barboza!

Varner shocked us all I think! I know he shocked Barboza!

Dana has opened the door to a Lesnar return...

Next up for Sass needs to be a real test. I think Lauzon would be an interesting matchup.

Yeah Sass v Lauzon would a great matchup. I can see both Sass and Hardy fighting on the Nottingham card. I cant wait for the full details of that to be announced.

Yeah, all the brits are going to be on that Im sure

Maguire
Sass
Hathaway
Mills
Ogle
Pickett
Wilks

Pity the Uk cards are Naff usually, do to Pay Per View earnings failing to attract the big names.

Im sure the event will headline some journey men like Jorge Riveira and Jason Mcdonald

Catch 22 isn't it, they want a UK card but can't provide a quality card that captures the imagination. You'd think they could use some of Feritta and White's own vast personal profits to pay for at least a Bisping v Boetsch main event

Something needs to be done.

The last few cards have been really poor in the UK.

I know they cant get big money because they cant sell PPV in the states due to UK timings, but the fighters need to be stop beign so greedy or Dana needs to put hands in his pcokets.

Has Bisping got a fight lined up? They always assume that they can put poor cards on and get away with it because the fighters are English. Out of the people you named how many of them are signnificant in there division or would currently make the main card in America? I'd rather see no Uk fighters and a good card rather then a naff all UK card

Bisping is fighting Boetsch at UFC 149.

I think all the fighters above are fighters that are looking to move up the ladder. With the exception of Wilks who is a journey man.

Fights involving the above would be fine but would need to be backed up with a quality main and co main event.

Diaz versus Henderson/Edgar main event?

Could be worse though.... Look at UFC 147 for the Brazillians!

It looked a thoroughly woeful card before Belfort broke his hand, now he's out

There's only been about 4 people carded on it and it's happening in less than a month!

There are so many events coming up between now and mid November, its inevitable that Nottingham will get another poor card. Even the UFC on FX / Fox cards will get better main events.

I'll probably buy a ticket though... its been 5 long years since UFC 75!

I'm with you on that 1 Hoppa regardless of whos fighting, I'm going I went to the Bisping - Akiyama event and the card for that one was just about an acceptable standard of fighters for a UFC card.

The Brazilians probrably wont be bothered, from what I've seen they are just so patriotic and enthusiastic they are just happy the UFC is there.
