Milner

I shuddered when that ITV commentator said he was a shoe in for that right hand side slot. Seriously, why the hell should Milner start?

If we want to be a threat when we have the ball (which is rare), then we have to play Walcott and Chamberlain out wide.

He was dire for most of the match. He's just completely ordinary. Crossing poor, passing poor, lacks creativity. I'm still staggered how the likes of him and Downing got in over Johnson and Lennon, who will are at least exciting on the ball.

Exactly now I'm not claiming that Theo and Ox are world class, they have their flaws. But both are capable of producing moments of real threat that Milner seem completely unable to do!

Milner is unable to see a simple pass. His passing is awful anyway.

But he sucks up to the analysts so they don't criticize him.

Terry and Cahill both might be injured

Lescott-Jagielka better than Terry-Cahill anyway

Way better.

What I don't get is Hodgson said he wanted to stick by players who had served England during our qualification campaign. Correct me if I'm wrong but A. Johnson scored twice in that campaign. He's played about as much for City this season as Milner has, with more goals and similar amount of assists. He's the one that should have been taken ffs!

How terrible was Johnson by the way? Worst player on the pitch.

Johnson and Milner were 2 of the worst players. Already we're seeing how foolish Hodgson looks not taking Richards or A.Johnson/Lennon.

Lennon exciting? What have you been smoking?

More exciting than shat like Downing and Milner. And judging by the last 2 games I'd take him over the overhyped Ox and Walcott.

Lennon did more sitting at home watching the match than Ox did tonight.

Ox has hardly kicked a ball for Arsenal yet and got in the england squad ahead of poor old Lemon

Even Walcott had more goals and assists in the PL last season than poor old Lemon

I hope Lemon enjoys watching Theo and the Ox play at the euros, he should learn to appreciate his superiors.

And yet you just agreed with me that he or A.Johnson should have got in ahead of Milner.

Being picked for England means jack these days. Why else has G.Johnson got ahead of Richards?

I don't understand Glen Johnson. He is an enigma to me.

Glen Johnson's shiite. People claim he's good going forward. Bull.
Guy has no ball control.

Erm, because Johnson is miles more reliable than Richards defensively? He just had a poor game today.

Also, Lennon is complete crap, there is no justification for having him in the squad. I'd rather have Downing tbh.

There was a moment during today's game when Glen Johnson literally ran in a straight line, with the ball, right at one of their players, and didn't even look like trying to change his course.

During the World Cup he frequently ran the ball out of play as though only dimly aware of the boundaries of the pitch.

As I said, he is a mystery to me.
