Well SB Almagro has a chance of getting a set if he plays really well.
I think he got one one 2010 vs Nadal on clay, but not in Paris.

Summerblues I have not actually filtered anyone. My way of filtering is ignoring.

You are welcome to ignore the other thread.
Amri: I gather you complained about the other MOTD thread? Why would you do that?
I'm sure everyone here realises that if someone filters you that means you can't comment on any article by that person. As certain posters here have seen fit to filter anyone that has a good word to say about Nadal, that means anyone pro-Nadal or even just not rabid anti Nadal, can't comment on the usual ROTLA thread, so good for Amri starting his own one.
Not sure why Admin have not realised this seeing as it is their site and just seem to be blaming Amri.
Good luck with your thread Amri. And good luck to Rafa.
Tennisfan (U14031) - Of course we realise that and we had no problem with having two threads on the site and leaving people to exercise their right of choice. As opposed to removing a thread at the continual bequest of another member who was abusing the complaints system.
Tennisfan,
Yes of course fine to start a thread but I was under the impression that Admins let both threads to run but someone - and my read of it was that it was likely Amri - was then complaining about ROTLA's thread.
I see no good reason for that.
Admin1, could you not have invoked your rule 9?
"Users should not abuse the complaints system which is intended to highlight content that breaches these rules. Any user deemed to be abusing the complaint system will have their display name permanently changed to 'Whiny and Easily Offended' and/or account suspended."
Jonty, that made me laugh. I had forgotten about rule 9.
If someone did complain about ROTLA's thread, perhaps it was out of frustration at not being able to comment on it.
I think the filter system has definitely been abused here (just call me whiny and easily offended if you must), as basically it has just given free rein to some people to trash Nadal without anyone being able to counter their arguments. And yes, I am one of the elite that has been filtered by the anti Nadal crew. Just seems to be that if you can dish it out, then you should be able to take it and filtering is just a little childish is it not?
People who go to the effort of creating threads have the right to moderate who can and can comment on them, we are OK with that. It may be childish but the alternative is people complaining about stuff on their own threads and demanding us Admins ban these people from the forum(The ultimate denial of opinion), as was the case before the filter.
tennisfan, I love the rules here!
But if someone filters all who offer a contrary view, then their articles end up pretty meaningless, leave them to their own little world is what I say.
Fair enough Admin. Just seemed to me that Amri was getting a bit of stick here for no apparent reason.
By the 11 comment on this thread someone had been kicked off it and it was nearly two people following a "Nadull" comment. We can live with that, but for whatever reasons if people chose to create different threads we are 100% OK with that. What we wont do is remove content/users that some find objectionable when they won't filter such content themselves.
Quite right too getting kicked off. His name is Nadal, not Nadull!!! And if they find Nadal's game dull, they are not tennis fans and don't belong on a tennis forum.
Sharapova cruizing 2 victory, 6-2 6-3, like a training match.
Shame, I like Kanepi but I think the occasion and a great opponent overcame her.
Result was expected, Ferrer vs Murray should b a cracker.
Agreed on both counts junkie.
It Rafa time expecting straight set victory, with sum devasting 4hand winners.
Last time Rafa wore pink at RG he lost to Soderling
3 year ago a long time, may b another 3 year b4 he lose again.
Fully expecting a Rafa win myself!
Well said Tennisfan!
I agree with you!
