Hey Largehat. I'm over for a visit and we went past Reekbok Stadium on our way to Blackpool. Looks a decent and modern ground. It will be interesting when we play you this season.

I don't know much about how M Davies has got on since he went to Bolton, but I presume you think he'll go to the PL? I don't think he's one we'd go for but I can't see how us being linked with a Bolton midfielder is 'the funniest thing ever'.

If Bolton fans think those years in the Prem will somehow make them a big fish in this pond then they're in for a bit of a surprise next season.

Hello Foxes. Let's just say valuations of the player clearly wildly differ, and keep it civil.

Well, you have to remember that we did pay somewhere between 3.5 and 5.5m for Mills. It was too much, true, but we still paid it!

Plus, I forget what it is that Davies is known best for now - is it being ultra reliable? Oh no that's right, it's for being injury prone. The guy has never completed a full season at any level without breaking down, though I gather he's had a better run of luck at Bolton than he did with us and Wolves.

As I said, I don't think he'd come to us (what's the point - it would be a sideways step) but he may not be worth quite as much as you think. Newcastle paid £4.3m for Yohan Cabaye after all. Just sayin...

Well, if he goes anywhere this Summer it will be to Newcastle who have been linked with a £6-£8m bid. And what's Mills known for? Nutting his manager.

I might be being a bit provocative but I do find the idea of us offering Davies plus cash for Mills funny.

So anyway, formation finish next season eh. The bookies 1 and 2 at the moment.

Davies + £2M for Mills

Two things are for certain next season. Both clubs will be fighting for promotion and both these players have a lot to prove this campaign.

I would snap Newcastles hands off if they were to offer £8m as I dont feel he is worth that much. He is very talented dont get me wrong but we know his frailties. It also sounds like there is some risks involved with the Mills purchase but we will have to wait and see.

Loving this new banter already...

I love Championship fans, me!

Mills + £3.5m for Davies seems fair and rational.

You can have mills for free, IF you take some of our miserable negative posters?! 😱

Who the hell are Leicester City?

The only reason Bolton is on the map is because of Fred Dibnah.

Did Fred Dibnah play football?

I've done some research and it seems that Leicester City Football Club is very closely linked to a former player called Ian Walker, Gary Linekar and a crisp company...

Not quite the same as Peter Kay, Vernon Kay, Sara Cox (okay, maybe not), Amir Khan, Elbow (I think that's Bury actually, but close enough)...

SKA posted a thread a couple of weeks ago saying hello to the Championship.

I read with interest as it gave a good guide to which clubs have posters on here.

It's been so long since we were last here, but it seems Leicester fans are universally disliked on the Championship board.

Bloody hell CEF, I thought my OP was provocative lad.

Don't forget Peter Shilton and Willie Thorne.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of crowds The Trotters attract next season.
