Kash, Already posted this story on my OP although not with such panache.
This article and hopefores below illustrate everything that is wrong with India. With india amongst one of the poorest countries in the world, due to its large population this is a clear example of the rich getting richer and the poor poorer. It smacks of hypocrisy and greed.
The BCCI need to take responsibility and to some extent the players need to be accountable. Ripping of the ordinary man in the street and enticing them to IPL dolly bowlers to excite them at the sight of SIXES to fill your own pockets is nothing short of scandalous. I think the Indian fans deserve better.
With Dhonis income topping sachins, many of the Indian faithful wont be impressed. However, sachin is now a member of parliament and I expect him to deal with this issue and bring about fairness, justice and equality back to your average joe on the street.
Hopefully, that will return cricket back to its “natural state”.

Here we go again. Guys these two articles are not about Pakistan or india specifically, they are about greed and hypocrisy. We know Pakistan is also a poor nation, infact pakistan is the 49th poorest, whilst india is 53rd. but that doesn’t make what these guys are doing right does it????!!!!
Lets concentrate on the facts shall we, if you really want to get into it………
44% of Indian populations is below poverty line
A recent report by the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) states that 8 Indian states have more poor than 26 poorest African nations combined which totals to more than 410 million poor in the poorest African countries
The 2011 Global Hunger Index (GHI) Report places India amongst the three countries where the GHI between 1996 and 2011 went up from 22.9 to 23.7, while 78 out of the 81 developing countries studied, including Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Kenya, Nigeria, Myanmar, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Malawi, succeeded in improving hunger condition
Another OPHI report found that there were 650 million people (53.7% of population) living in poverty in India, of which 340 million people (28.6% of the population) were living in severe poverty, and that a further 198 million people (16.4% of the population) were vulnerable to poverty
I know some of you will point to the economic success of india recently, but despite tht one quarter of the nation's population earns less than the government-specified poverty threshold of 32 rupees per day.
Cricket in india is HUGE, AND I MEAN HUGE!!!!!!!! . Instead of using it to rip off the already poor, why not try to give something back and improve the lives of many that follow the likes of dhoni and sachin through thick and thin??? The BCCI and its supporters should be totally ashamed of themselves. Its one thing being stubborn on the use of DRS, but its taking the biscuit when you rip-off and steal from one of your own.
Peace.
Neon what are you saying. You can't use logic or reasoning here!

Sehwag yaar cool down.
I mentioned india because this article relates to dhonis paypacket. He happens to be Indian. The head of BCCI is also…….an Indian!!! India rule and control cricket, there is no denying that whatsoever. The ICC bow down to india, that’s a fact many in cricket know, even though they may not agree to it.
If we talk about non-cricketing issues, then of course other countries, east and west are just as bad as each other when it comes to greed and injustice….
this is a cricketing forum.
I heard this on the radio last evening.

Some people twisting, turning, throwing toys out of their prams and going off topic as usual
hope - cant get access to that, will listen to it after work.
Cricket is miniscule compared to the income India generates from its booming business empire
