I do wish you guys who've gone through a name change recently would revert to your originals. I might well direct an insult at the wrong person.

This has been a poor day for Hafeez as skipper. Lack of wickets and a run rate over 3.5 has made it a day to forget.

Terrible day for Pakistan today. Probably there worst day since England 2010 and part of me wished that Sami was playing so I could have had a go at someone.

kash you have eleven other choices, I'm sure you'll find someone else.

Thats true Hope. It's time to pick on Gul, the guy has been shocking for a while now (watch him get 4 wickets tomorrow now).

Well someone is going to make this game interesting, and I'll leave the Pakistani batsman to do that. And, great to see, Mohammad Ayub in the team...

SL aiming for a 'easy' score of 500+... Oh, no!

posted on 23/6/12

An early wicket, just what we needed!- The next 100 odd runs that are scored will be cruical, if we can continue to pick up wickets then we're still in the game. Otherwise, SL will be looking for a 500+ score...

Another wicket, and another stumping for Adnan Akmal, at last some success for our w/k.

So far it's Ajmal v SL... 335-4

1st BALL!!!!!!!!! AJMAL HAS TAKEN FIVE AND HE'S ON A HAT-TRICK!!!! Brilliant, just brilliant!

We are the old sri Lanka where we are dependant on 1 bowler like Sri Lanka used to be with Murali. The rest have been a disgrace.

Not all of them, Rehman is playing his first game of this tour, Azhar has been the only positive of this tour... The person I feel sorry for the most is Aziaz Cheema, where the feck' he has gone and why is beyond me. That guy was performing pretty well in ODI/T20 cricket, and should've got more of a shot at the Test level... but all of sudden they're not playing him.

Amir I meant the bowlers. We are a one man team. Rehman man benefited against England due to them being scared of Ajmal but he's average. Gul is just poor and Junaid can't cut it at this level.

U are rigth about Cheema but even he is average.

Hafeez claims "we were unlucky and did well to restrict them to 300".
Echo's of Sammy talking about the WI in England.

Gul has been pisss poor for a while now, I rather have Tanvir in the test squad than Junaid and Cheema should just be given a proper shot.

The thing with WI's they never had anyone that could open England up at any given time, we have Ajmal, who can do that v SL and he just has. Plus, England let, WI's off the hook a few times anyway...

40 overs- 97 runs, not a great ad. for test cricket.

It's raining now. Will SL rue batting so slow?

I must say not having DRS in these conditions is a disadvantage.

They have said on cricinfo that the umpires have let some plum LBWs go.

The excitement of Pakistan batting is approaching fast.

Sangakkara left stranded on 199

posted on 23/6/12

Cricinfo...

"Saeed Ajmal to Sangakkara, SIX, the slog sweep comes out, and fetches Sanga a big six over deep midwicket, that takes him to 199, apparently the scoreboard at the ground shows he has reached 200, Sanga celebrates, and soaks in all the applause, the dressing room joins in, before they realise he has to get one more, and then point it out to him".

Sangas own fault for batting so slow. 472, I think we would have taken that when they started at 300-2. The wicket does appear to have some spin it.

Good start from the top order
