All this "scottish football needs rangers" mallarky is crap.

Without rangers there, one of the others will step up over the course of the next couple of years. Rangers screwed scottish football, not the other way around.

Frankly, if a new club is allowed to go straight in at the top flight it will make a mockery of the whole promotion/relegation system.

Rangers doesn't exist anymore, they have been liquidated, this is a new club, and like all new clubs it should start at the bottom and work it's way up.

Claudio...you come on here and slag Scottish football. You add nothing constructive to the debate so what do you expect...in simple words GO AWAY.

100% echo those comments. Buts that's the bile, infested cess pit that is Scottish football. Self interest will kI'll the game

ZZ...another Englishman who knows diddly squat about Scottish football. Tell me squire, which club will step forward and challenge Celtic , name them and tell me on what you base this prediction.

"Self-interest will kill the game".

Celtic and Rangers, and particularly Rangers under Murray, have called the shots in this league for too long all out of self-interest. We take an unfair share of TV revenue, we sign players from smaller clubs for peanuts just so they don't hurt us and we continually talk about a dream ticket to the Premier League at the first opportunity. If you want to talk about self-interest then look no further than Glasgow! Now that the peasants have finally got the balls to stand up to Rangers, it is all about self interest. I don't buy that at all.

I think Spartans will push us all the way after they work their way up.

But we didn't decide on the ridiculous league structure. That was the others who weere only interested in 3or 4 pay days against the OF every season.

The fans want 16 or 18 team league.

Now that the turkeys are voting for Xmad they might as well increase the langue size to 18 and invite the top 6 1st division team.... 1 of them being The Rangers

Meuandcoop - I was stating that the opinion of the English was that the league was a joke - not my personal view. If that wasn't clear, apologies.
However, without Rangers there I believe this would be the case. There's no way one of the others would "step up." My point was that fans outside of Scotland are completely bemused by the attitude of the other Scottish clubs towards Rangers. This doesn't mean I am saying the club should not be punished.

Henrik....the peasants aren't only standing up to Rangers 's, Celtic will feel the financial effect of this revolt.

I can't dispute that Esctosh. If they are willing to sacrifice TV revenue for this, then why not for an extended league? It's a very good point.

I know that Coop, but fair play to them. Some of their supporters have followed their team for over thirty years and never saw them involved in a title race, so I don't criticise them doing that.

Claudio

Fair observations .

We don't get it too. But as I said earlier, hatred and vendettas seem to be a higher priority than common sense.

They have an opportunity to allow us in with suitable sanctions but appear to be choosing not to

That's their oerogative. But they are cutting their own throats for the wrong reasons

There are no winners in this sorry saga now. The others have an opportunity to improve their lot, while punishing us but retaining The Rangers in the SPL.

Bu hey, well go to the SFL and regroup and recover. For the others I say, like The Rangers, you reap what you sow

"Because of Whyte and Murray - the two dictators, who weren't questioned by the supporters or a complicit media."

Well said Henrik.

Claudio...Rangers have sinned and should be punished. If their peers decide thet should be relegated so be it. Some clubs will suffer less than others e.g Aberdeen,Dundee Utd and St Johnstone could break even in terms of gates by the inclusion of Dundee. At the end of the day its the other clubs who must weigh up the likely effect of Rangers exclusion.

In what way? There isnt a football club in Glasgow called Rangers who could actually play football anywhere.

I buy my season ticket for my club, Celtic, this gets me into games. If a Rangers fan currently buys a season ticket, for Rangers I assume, then this money still goes to Rangers football club PLC and therefore could be paid to creditors.

The SPL is made up of 12 clubs; each club gets one vote; Rangers FC PLC gets a vote; Rangers still exist but they will be liquidated soon.

Point made fluck off

If I want to plan attending a football match next season can you advise me if there is one that involves a club called Rangers I can go to?

Thought not.

Maybe try supporting Celtic then.
