the lazy journalism in this country is astonishing and the likes of macca crawl all over it

Oh right, you know me that well eh
The media in this country are utterly garbage. I make my own mind up from direct quotes
It seems you have chosen to ignore them because it doesn't suit your arguments
England not getting the WC had absolutely nothing to do with the bid.
so macca who do you get these direct quotes from, do you have a direct dial to blatter and platini or do you read it in the papers and on the net

Oh come on mate, quit being pedantic
I'm sure you know the difference between direct quotes and gossip
Are you saying the 3 quotes i put earlier are untrue?
Common knowledge Blatter and Platini made those quotes

please don't provide any links, it doesn't fit macca's warped agenda

Link to a media source?
Thought you said the media was bollox
Make up your mind
What about that bribe-taking guy who was Blatter's pal? Didn't he say he hated England or something? Sorry I don't have a link or anymore detail than that.
trfc & macca
There's always 2 sides to an argument..
I personally feel its too easy to think FIFA DEFINITELY has it in for the English...Thats my opinion of this all.
I also think The FA switch sides very easily when it comes to FIFA. David Bernstein publically backed Sepp Blatter for the presidency election. Then when it came to the election, he was up on stage asking everyone to vote for a postponement until a credible candidate emerges. he got 17 votes out of 178. Are the other 161 nations all in on the corruption? I somehow dont think so.
Now if you'l excuse, id like to sit on my fence in peace.

You know, that bloke from Trinidad or Jamaica or somewhere like that. Yeah he hated England.
i wouldnt worry about it Macca, you'll always get some sweaty sock claiming the English are bitter about this and that, probably more jealousy than anything.
i'm guessing he is a Gers fan judging on previous posts, so if anyone should understand corruption in the game its him
do you want some salt for that massive chip on your shoulder??

Now that's irony
He's Scottish?

I think he's still angry about Prima Nocta
All sporting events should have a spiritual home & be held in that home every time. All this chasing around the world building stadia that become derelict after every event is obscene. The home country could build a lasting stadium & infrastructure that would do the competition proud. And as an added bonus there would be no need for those boring extravagant opening & closing ceremonies to promote the hosting country.
The Olympics should be in Greece
The Super bowl should be un USA
The Grand Prix finale should be in France
Wimbledon should be in Wimbledon
The transatlantic boat race should be in the Atlantic
And the biggest of them all, the world cup, should be in England
All the Cricket World Cups as well don't forget
The Masters should be at Masters Golf Course, GA, USA.
