I love how Ronaldo is labeled this great team player and that muppet Andy Townsend repeatedly said look at what he's doing for his team.
Ronaldo is far from a team player for Portugal, all he does is run around moaning and shooting at every opportunity he gets. He is a brilliant player and wins matches for portugal but he is far from a team player!

He still calls Arsenal a 'one man team' and that is shocking from someone who is meant to be a 'well respected journalist' who knows what he's talking about. I remember when he pulled out a stat in a bid to highlight what a one-man team we are. The stat was about how we had only won 2 games without RVP in a year. What's that meant to prove?

Me too. They're looking good. Their defence is a tight dynamic unit. Their midfield is solid and Ronaldo is looking great upfront. I only object to the folly of calling it some one-man team. It's not even remotely close to being true.

You're entitled to that opinion but it proves diddly-squat. It'll mean the Portuguese team played a blinder and he was an important cog in the wheel. All 3 of his goals have been laid on a plate for his finish. He's not scoring any Maradonnaesque goals.

I'm showing there's no one-man show about the displays. He's a vital cog in the wheel who benefits from the work of his mates and it insults their ability and efforts to make it all about Ronaldo. This isn't about Ronaldo but the denigrating remarks about a talented, if previously underachieving, Portuguese side.

It was a one-touch finish from about 4 yards. He didn't run 20 yards when the ball was crossed. He moved into position out wide on the right and ran past the static defendder to finish at the far post. It was laid on a plate irrespective of his off the ball movement.
so why do people use Maradonna winning the WC as their evidence to suggest hes the best ever??

Hes not blessed with the dribbling ability of Messi but hes just as effective and hes been proving it for the past 6 years

a tight defence, decent full backs, a decent playmaker in moutinho, and pace and skill to burn with ronaldo and nani.
the only thing they are missing is a decent CF.
coentrao, moutinho, pepe, joao pereira, nani are all excellent players, but there not ronaldo.

I don't think it is a 'fact'. I don't think something so subjective can ever amount to fact. The only way of factually indicating who the best player in the world is is the World Player of the Year and even then that is retrospective and often goes to the wrong person.
