Winning is a hait, you have to inculcate it.

???

inculcate....

Nope....no idea

Jonty you're right about the balt & Keo - but what makes you think the other two are going to suddenly push through

I don't see it

I mean - where were half of the top five Ladies players three years ago - nowhere

That's real progress - unlike ours sadly

Watson - I think she has a great attitude, movement and I see her learn from her mistakes.

Robson - Can hit as hard as any of the women on tour and her game as we say last year v Sharapova and today v Schiavone is good enough to trouble anyone.

Both of them need encouragement and freedom from injuries (which have certainly hampered Robson's progress).

They are making the main draw of slams even though they have to qualify at this point, soon they'll be automatics and that is when I'd expect to see a big kick on.

I hope you're right

Am I right in thinking the game is awash with money...?

Sure I read that somewhere

Sheriff, top 5 currently are

Sharapova
Azarenka
Radwanska
Kvitova
Stosur

All of these had made their breakthroughs by 3 years ago and all are at least 4 years or more older than Robson and Watson.

Give our girls a chance.

It might be awash with money but it doesn't filter through to young players very well.

I help coach a 13 year old who is top 24 in the country, he gets 1500 a year from the LTA, that pays for about 1 hour a week and he is expected to have 15 hours a week coaching.

Well played Goffin....why all the booing when he won though?

Oh I see now, the racquet smash!!!

really

That's a bit shoddy then....& says a lot

re top five - i don't even know who three of those are

Where did the money come from to coach these eastern europeans - are they that much more talented - or better coached..?

I don't think they're better talented, I think a lot of problems here lie with the talent id process, lack of affordable indoor facilities and lack of financial support from LTA.

Benoit Paire wins his first Wimbledon match

That's a good win for Paire as ebden is a good player on grass. Good win for Brian baker too, easy 3 sets against Rui Machado.
tomic lost against Goffin! I Tomic is going back instead of moving forward. nadull on centre court.

COME ON BELLUCCI!

Nadull in exquisite form. What a sight!

That's it Bellucci has dug his own.

posted on 26/6/12

That indeed looked good for a moment, but he already broke back. One can imagine it will only get easier later on in this match. Nadal had many shaky starts at sw19..

It's really sad that Bellucci missed those sitters.

This match on CC is of such poor quality.

COME ON BELUCCIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!

I play better than Bellucci on grass! No kidding!

Nadull does not have to win it, bellucci has presented him on the plate.

7-0 in the tie break to Nadal, 7 mistakes from Belucci.

Seriously, even I could've won three of those points.
