Yes I agree, it's a bit desperate. I remember already how they helped Henman with some strange line calls then....in particular one match v Paul Haarhuis (from memory).
This is beyond joke.
Nobody deserves to be humiliated and brought into the state of public stammering because of somebody's vanity, it's vulgar and low.
It's teh hypocrisy that kills me. Nalbandian hurt a line judge by accident. Those guys are stealing money from a player. IT's a much worse crime.
But of course, like draw rigging they'll say "no proof"!
Yes, all the "prestigious & historic" facade and the cupboard bursting with rotten skeletons!
the proof is in Ivo's words that he moved back and they still kept calling it.
I bet the tape of the match will get lost, or Ivo will be made to shut up.
Sadly nothing can be done. I do not agree with the fault callings but don't know what to say. I did not watch the match either but I want Murray to win fair and square.
I hope he puts it right tomorrow.
Shouldn't the player be entitled to Hawkeye on foot-faults, as well?
The penalty is the same as if he netted the serve ...
And this really can make you question everything else. Like an ace from a player could be challenged and Hawkeye could come up with shot being out.
There is no limit to helping a player.
Anyhow, the good news is that Nadal was beyond help!
"Anyhow, the good news is that Nadal was beyond help!"
well, Tenez, you're forgetting this is Wimbledon and Nadal ain't called The Humble Brit
If Karlovic believes he was unfairly judged then he should raise a formal complaint so that they have to review the match.
I hope he does because it was a very high number of foot fault calls and i don't ever recall seeing him foot faulted before.
So, it could be a bad day, or a bad judge, or both, but if he is convinced then he should raise it formally and be taken seriously by Wimbledon.
One thing he was factually incorrect about however was his claim that the line judges never swapped over, they did.
You are pretty naive Jonty.
Nothing will be done about it.
Just like when Hawkeye didn't work for Ljubicic in Indian Wells one year (also against Murray) during a crucial point/game.
Poor Looby did get an apology....
And while I'm at it ,
WIMBLEDON, England (AP)—The Centre Court roof at Wimbledon closed Friday just as the sky was clearing up, and three matches were then played indoors without any rain falling outside.
A day earlier, the roof was shut in dry weather as well, causing a 45-minute suspension after the fourth set of Rafael Nadal's stunning second-round loss to ensure the match could be completed under the lights as darkness fell.
Those decisions have left some players and fans wondering just what the rules are for using the roof that was installed in 2009 to help alleviate some of the notorious rain delays that often plague the tournament.
Nadal was left shaking his head in bewilderment when told his match would be halted for 45 minutes, while Novak Djokovic was bemused to find himself playing indoors under ``sunshine and clear blue sky.''

Is there close up footage of his feet and during these replays.

You can be sure if there were, there aren't anymore.
I'll trust Karlo in this one. He has lost many matches in his life and I don't think he complains much about it.
Where are the slow motion replays?

Lubo,
did you see the link in the article?
Poor man was shattered and distressed by the travesty of umpring.
He is a really nice guy and has never moaned about anything before.
Can't people just try to see it from his point of view?
I'll certainly keep my eye on this issue and see "what happens"
I am not holding my breath.
"Where are the slow motion replays?"
probably lost on somebody's laptop somewhere on some train that never reached its destination
He did mention it at the time, but he's actually really softly spoken, but it's a very hard thing for an umpire to do anything about as there is no hawkeye system, and you can't watch the ball and your feet at the same time unless you're serving like Martina Hingis.
I hope he makes a formal issue of it because as I said, I've never seen him foot faulted like this.
I'm not saying there is a conspiracy here, but something was amiss and would be good for all concerned to understand what.
Those slo-mo cameras can show us whatever they want...I am surprised they did not try to film a couple of those.
But again, people at large don;t want to believe in what could be just another "conspiracy". The fact Karlo did not double faulted in his previous match will not shock anybody.
You are pretty naive Jonty.

Why? To believe that something was amiss and that Karlovic should make a formal complaint?

All I am saying is If he was as sure as he seemed at the end why not ask for an explanation at the time.

He did, but he's very softly spoken, I think he should have been a bit more forceful about it and pushed his point more.
