gallas

West Brom almost mauled us when we played high line with terry and alex. What will they do with him?

When did I say Livermore was the reason your season failed?

If you can't grasp the basic concept in that statement that your backup players aren't good enough, just give up trying to do anything.

Walker, Sandro, Bale < modric < lennon VDV

---

Modric and potentially Bale are the only players I would put in the Arsenal team. The rest shouldn't be anywhere near our team.

Walker wouldn't start for either Arsenal or Chelsea. Sagna and Ivanovic are much better than him. Take off the Spurs rose-tinted glasses for once, Weare. Modric,Bale and VDV would probs get in both teams but that's it.

"Walker, Sandro, Bale < modric < lennon VDV could all play in Chelsea or Arsenals teams no problem "

Sandro ahead of Mikel

Lennon ahead of Hazard

Van Der Vaart ahead of Mata

and most hilarious of all

Walker ahead of Ivanovic and Sagna

When did I say Livermore was the reason your season failed?

When you said

“Don't tell me you think the likes on Danny Rose and Jake Livermore are good enough to be challenging for the title? They just aren't good enough as back up players, and that is where your season went wrong last season.”

I noticed a pattern here with some Spurs fans, you follow your opinion with FACT and think it makes it so.

When a counter-argument is put to you, even if it is a fact you follow it with <facepalm> as if some how that makes it no longer a fact.

Weare – I’ve noticed you do this when ever a Chelsea fan mentions last season was an uncharacteristically bad season domestically for us, where as Spurs overachieved going by recent history. Let me deal in fact then, over the past five seasons Chelsea have averaged 77.8 points per season, Spurs have averaged 59.6. So Chelsea’s total of 64 last season was a very bad season for us, Spurs 69 is well up on the average total over the last 5 years. However I would still point out that Spurs’ best total last year is still well down on Chelsea’s average over the last five years.

That's not saying Livermore is the reason that you failed last season.

Friedel/Szczesny: Friedel pretty good but sooo old, would much rather have the equal quality and superior potential of Szczesny

BAE/Gibbs: Neither that good. Gibbs less error prone though.

Sagna/Walker: Attacking-wise, Walker. In every conceivable other facet of being a full-back, Sagna.

Koscielny & Verm/Kaboul & Vertonghen: Definitely Kos, the other 3 are all just about equal, maybe Vermaelen for his goals though.

Song/Parker: Parker effective as a DM but a painfully limited footballer. Song less disciplined but better all round.

Arteta/Modric: Modric better player, Arteta more productive, I'll give Modric the benefit of the doubt.

VDV/Rosicky: VDV I think, though his attitude is poor.

Bale/Podolski: Bale.

Walcott/Lennon: Walcott more productive and harder-working, I'd have him. Ox is better than Lennon as well IMO.

RvP or Giroud/Defoe: I'd have both of those players over Defoe any day, especially as both teams only use 1 striker and Defoe cannot lead the line on his own.

So, Bale, VDV, Modric and maybe Vertonghen would get in our first team if you look at everything, and we have better back-up. It's no contest really.

you aren't going to make up 20 points on united and city without big money signings, just like liverpool won't make up our points on 4th with the same
