Is the Men's doubles Final on after this?
It makes you wonder how much of winning is how strong you are mentally as well as your ability!
Serena really had to dig deep mentally!!!!
Serena really had to dig deep mentally!!!!
I have to disagree with this. She was a break up in the 2nd set and lost concentration, but you have to say well done to Radwanska for giving it a go in the 2nd set. But the 1st and 3rd sets were 6-1 and 6-2. Serena had plenty of gears in hand at the end.
Radwanska
Dirtyseirrah - She spoke about how she had lost confidence!
oh well radwanska gave it a go
She spoke about how she had lost confidence!
Missed that one.
Shame that Radwanska never congratulated her opponent.
i noticed that as well spurtle
Serena probably only at around 70% to 75% of her ability and still wins Wimbledon
If she stays fit and the hunger is still there, she can play on for a few more years yet.
Spurtle I've not seen one post match interview this tournament where radwanska has congratulated her opponent.

--------------
She is speaking a foreign language, she is nervous, plus it's her 1st final, give her a break!
I wish Venus won more! she only has 7 titles I think

Well considering I've never seen it before from the loser at Wimbledon, I don't really buy those excuses.
She speaks English well enough.
maybe she does not like serena and will start a big rivalry for everyone to enjoy
well i hope
OK if she hasn't thanked her opponent before, someone needs to teach her some manners then!
barker could have pushed her in the right direction, instead she mentioned her being unwell

let the countdown begin
can't wait, grand prix and tennis
So two 30 year old winners in both the Men's and the Women's finals. Perhaps 30 is the new 20.
I just wikied Margaret Court, she won 24 grand slams but 11 of them was won in the OZ open which most of the good players didn't use to play as it was too far
spurtle
its sounded bad enough when barker said it
A Brit in the men's doubles final as well - Johnny Marray. along with the Danish fella.
