Well looks like roman knows what hes doing, countering our spending with increased revenue to meet ffp demands . Should ffp ever be taken in a serious way by uefa itself that is.

hmm i think the marketing dept had little work to do with this one given Roman's connections to Gazprom
Gazprom bought Sibneft from Abramovich but I'm not sure how that will make for strong links.
Gazprom are, after all, keen on football and already sponsor Zenit, Shalke, Red Star and the CL (as of last week). Perhaps they just want to widen their links?
Gazprom are also now sponsoring the Champions League and Super Cup, so there is no way UEFA are kicking us out of the tournament....
not a dig, but its quite obviously a way for chelsea to circumvent the FFP rules. Most clubs will find a way, but this one is quite obvious in the same way as city have etihad.
RA sold sibneft to gazprom. RA is massively connected to the russian government so it doesnt take a genius to work out that gazprom, an oil and gas company, would do well to strenghten their political ties!!
There is quite a difference between being sponsored by a division of a company that owns you and being sponsored by a company that does not. There is no connection between Gazprom and Chelsea.
But of course roman will have relationships with people at Gazprom, but is miles away from the Ethiad Man City stadium sponshorship situation
