Turnbull and Cech will probably play in the next game.
Hilario is experienced, cheap and Cech likes him. Very good reasons to keep renewing his contract.

That's because Cech knows as long as he and Turnbull are there then he has no threat to his place....

The competition when/if Courtois and Cech compete will be fierce
it's not easy to find a solid back up goalkeeper who is content. hilario should stay
Gazza,
I now have visions of Cech as some kind of DC comic super villian.

I really don’t know why so many fans have a problem with Hilario, he’s an experienced keeper who’s happy to played 2nd or even 3rd fiddle and does his job when called upon. He’s made a couple of errors years ago but people won’t let him forget, try to remember how he played against Barca in the CL and all the other solid if unspectacular performances when many other keepers including Cudichini (when he was number 2) would be very rusty. Not playing doesn’t seem to effect his performances when he does play on the rare occasion so he’s a useful member of the squad.

He was really bad yesterday, off the line all the time. Blackman looked much better.
The point here is why should we pay a bigger salary for Hilario when Blackman could do the same job or better as 2nd choice for minimal wages....
Hilario is one of the worst kickers of a ball I've seen. Can't believe he is so bad and hasn't improved on it in the time he has been here.
