Well, you can beggar off with having Knight in for a start. If you are having Holden in, then surely we can put Wheater or Mills in instead of Knight.
I would also think that Riley might push Mears and Alonso may push Ricketts for a start.
Maybe with knight but he gave him a 2 year contract and for some reason trusts him. Never in a month of Sundays will riley or Alonso start over mears and ricketts. Alonso is slow and not as good as ricketts. Mears is a coyle man simple as that
I had a feeling that this article was an indirect dig at Coyle, Petrov. Hence you making a big deal of Knights contract, regardless of the fact that he has brought in Mills, clearly to play instead of him.
I net that Riley and Alonso will start more games than you think. It's important for them to get some game time to help their progression.
No dig at coyle it's a fact about knight. I actually don't mind knight. They may get cup games your right.
Mills was brought in due to Wheaters injury.
I think it will be a fair and square competition between Knight, Mills & Ream for the 2 places, but I have a sneaky suspicion that Knight could be made captain as he has acted as vice captain fot our last 2 managers.
As I said on the other thread petrov, age doesn't matter as it 's standard that counts and the standard has definitely gone down.
that starting 11 you can put mills instead of knight, mavies instead of holden.k.davies instead of sordell and you probably got the 1st choice starting 11 for burnley provided injuries clear of course.
Mills was brought in due to Wheaters injury.
------
No. Knight was re-signed due to Wheaters injury, proved by the fact that he wasn't offered a contract till the end of the season. I think we would've always tried to bring a defender in, with or without Wheaters injury.
In my opinion, standard has gone up whilst expenditure has gone down.

I think you will agree with that Rowbot.
So our standard HAS gone down.

What? Of course the Prem is a better standard than the prem, but I think your forgetting all too quickly that we haven't played in the championship this season yet. It could be argued that our team was poor LAST season and better this season, but there are no facts to back that up yet, as this season we haven't yet played any competitive games.
Sorry to break that to you.
In my opinion, standard has gone up whilst expenditure has gone down.
Based on? Expenditure has gone down. How do you know that mills a hothead who could not play for Leicester is better than someone prone to errors but has spent nearly all their career playing too flight football?
Andrews better than reo Coker? No proof. Sordell better than klasnic only on fitness.
Your making statements that are not based on what you can see before you. Kronk on the other thread gave this post about younger team not true as coyle picked up a team with average age 27 and so will the one that starts in a few weeks. Coyle will be our manager all season I don't doubt that regardless of results but please stop twisting facts. No youth player got a real chance last season. Sordell watched whilst experienced struggled week after week. Riley played only when 3 right backs got injured. Vela could not get a game over an injured reo Coker. I heard all this guff about youth getting a chance last season with Danny ward and it never happened. That is the reality of it. I am not having a dig at coyle I am asking people to be straight and stop dreaming up a fantasy world.
I am as excited as anyone else for the coming season and will support my team throughout regardless of results. But that does not prevent me from using my brain and being honest. Supporting your team comes without barriers but understanding the game and your teams ability does.
Petrov.
Lovely comment. Nice, direct, but unfortunately a bit irrelevant. Basically, I have said 'in my opinion', thus, not twisting any facts.
I have never, ever suggested that Andrews is better than Reo Coker. However, Andrews has goals in him, he will shoot from outside the box and he offers more going forward than NRC does. I think Andrews will help the team more.
In my opinion, Mills is better than Knight. Reasons for that is that for a start, he is younger. That means stronger and quicker. I think he will compliment Ream well as he is a dominant centre half more than Knight.
Sordell has looked good whenever I have seen him last season and for team GB. Again, he offers something different to the team, a bit f pace and movement. He looks like he wants to get in behind, which makes a nice change from playing in from of opposition defences like we normally do.
Whilst mine and other opinions might be a bit optimistic, others are a bit pessimistic. I will and do appreciate your opinions, Petrov, but I won't stand for you suggesting we are too optimistic without admitting that you might be overly pessimistic - which you are.
When we start playing well and I make those comments please pull me up on that. Then I can't justify my opinion and honesty becomes pessimism.
But Petrov, it seems to me that you and others have been waiting all summer for us to starts playing matches and jump on Coyle within two uncompetitive matches. We've not starte our season yet, our team isn't ready, but I'm confident we will be by the time we play Burnley.
You were not one of those people telling everyone we would definitely stay up. Were you?
Yeah I was, but what's relevant about that?
Nobody knows how we start this season as we will have to change our mentality from getting our azzes kicked every week to kicking azzes every week.
It would have been nice to have seen some intent in our opening 4 friendlies against definitely azz kickable teams.
Its just that's why I may find it difficult for you to tell me I am wrong or telling me I am pessimistic.
And why I kind of feel confident that my judgement may be correct
Petrov, you don't seem to get it.
Opinions, mate. I think we'll get promoted, you don't. Only time will tell, we can argue till the cows come home but it doesn't make any difference. I'll reserve my judgement though, whilst you base yours on pointless friendly matches - once again, that's my opinion.

CEF I was under the impression from many sources that this was a young fresh team but it's not young.
And that's all it's about in't it?
For me, this board isn't about proving people right and saying 'I told you so'.
For others, it is...
Don't challenge people opinions if your not after being proved right then. Accept and embrace them. If we get 100 points this year you will be on here gloating that you got it right. Therefore pot kettle black
