You haven't won a trophy for 7 years, our
present owners took over less than 4 years ago.

Since when have Kolo and Clichy been regarded as some of your best players?

It always makes me laugh when Gooners complain about Arab money one minute the boast about how good the EMIRATES Stadium is the other.

I really don't like the Emirates. Its the most soulless, corporate bowl of a stadium its ever been my displeasure to visit.
You may think thats just bias but honestly, Highbury used to be one of my favourite away days (despite rarely getting a decent result).
The stadium isn't great atmospherically, you cannot deny that. However, that is down to the Prawn Sandwich Brigade fans that we have there.
AFL your comment about Adebayour putting as much effort into his.game when he sprinted towards the Arsenal fans is so true if he but everything into being the best player he can he would.be the best traditional strkng CF in the world
If it wasn't for teams like chelsea and Man city. football would be good and enjoyable, it wouldnt be boring with the same team winning the trophies every year, teams like leeds would be where they belong, at the top. football would be much more open, and any team in whatever league could go on to winning the league because all the 'top' players would be spread about clubs and not all drawn to one or two clubs because they offered 4x more money, i would prefer it if every year, you never know where we would finish, we could get relegated or win the league and that would be brilliant. not, oh top 4 again, great, oh city have won the title again, oh ok. oh look, the teams with no money have been relegated as per usual, great. its no suprise that you get older people that just dont follow football anymore because it has been taken over by oil s, my dad used to go to a game atleast once a week, to watch whoever, he didnt care, he hasnt gone to a game of football in around 15 games, although im taking him to the olympics on saturday, because football is just pointles and most of the excitement has gone, add that to the fact that it is full of cheating s like bale, suarez, evra, adam, and idiots like balotelli, football is rapidly losing poularity.
some world class quotes from arsene wenger ffrom today
“A club can buy players like PSG has done or Manchester City or Chelsea, with unlimited resources, but overall football suffers
“Europe at the moment is like the Titanic but we live in football like nothing matters.

That's a laugh alright, most cousins I know feel hot under the collar about the match officials being the same colour as them....
John, you're living in a dreamworld. Much as you'd like to believe it, professional football has never been like that.
We can argue scale if you like but football has always been dominated by the team with the most money, a trend that can be traced right back to Villa's early dominance in the 1890's.
Look abroad and its the same story. The idea this is a new phenomenom is at best misguided.
The dominant clubs immediately prior to Abramovich were Arsenal and United, who coincidentally were the clubs paying the highest wages at the time.
Finally, just saying 'football suffers' is meaningless. Hardly 'world class', explain it. Otherwise, you just come across as someone bitter and unable to adapt to changing world around him.

As soon as City's mega rich owner gets bored and leaves City will go back to mid-table medrocity and could possibly end up in the same situation as Malaga are in ATM.
