I thought Torres got into position for a pass entry of times. He always sets himself up for a one-two. The passer just took another option. I really don't know what you are talking about Gazza.

Hazard looks average

He's great

Ramires had to play right because there was no one else. And we had the same players as last season but with Hazard instead of Mata. Things weren't all of a sudden going to become better

What about Marin or Bruyne? Weren't they available today?
And for those knocking Torres - it's the same problem as always - you are playing long ball tactics that suit Drogba and expecting Torres to do that. Don't! As soon as you speed up your attacks and look to play the ball into space or early, he'll score. It's not rocket science.
De Bruyne is on loan and Marin has a knock.
Marin had a knock and De Bruyne's gone on loan

I really hope he plays Ramires central, he offers so much, but. Would lampard be dropped,
Gazza on numerous occasions he would get into space, square up facing the player in possession and then get ignored. As well as make a run hoping for a through ball. Neither came.
Hazard was playing as a 10, like Mata did last season drifting in from the left.
I think that the team should suit the striker, not the other way around, as the striker is the one thats there to score the goals.
Would you expect Messi to try and adapt to playing another way if he was upfront? No you would play to his strengths as he is your best chance of scoring.

You know when you don't use a pen for ages, and you shake it abit, scripple on a piece of paper to get the ink towards the tip ....... that's what pre-season is
Abramovich just gets a new pen

The team should suit the striker in our team I'm on about, as out best chance of goals is Torres.
What Man United are doing is playing a way to suit their best player and biggest chance of getting goals. The same as Barcelona, Newcastle, Real Madrid, Arsenal. All play the way to get the best out of their best player and biggest goal threat.
If you don't play a way to suit the biggest goal asset you got, then it's pointless having that player in the team and also pointless judging him until the team suits the way for him. If he still doesn't do it then, then you can blame him.

So all teams rely on that 1 player to never get injured ?
You lot are buffoons.
This line up was the same dire line up as last season. Hazard for Mata (our only other creative player) being the change.

Try telling that to LegendOsgood - he's already calling for the sack...

We should buy Cavani and then buy a new striker when he doesn't score

Are Barca the same without Messi? Real without Ronaldo, Man united without Rooney?
No, it effects the whole dynamic of the team.
