Why do you guys dislike Ramires on the right? He's good.

Well if you're talking about Dubbed, then he's capable of causing an argument with his own granny.

If you're about henrykamp then.........i would appreciate it if you don't call him an Arsenal fan. He's anything but.

I don't dislike ramires on the right with someone else in front of him but him as the sole provider of width is very frustrating for me

I have to disagree, in a 4-2-3-1, i don't think Ramires would work that well in the pivot.

Last season he mainly played as a striker with Di Santo. Don't know if he would be a striker that can play on his own up front yet but could develop that part of his game. His best positions are on the left and the right wing though.

Passing and touch are not yet good enough for the pivot.

We should try him in the pivot first, but on the right as has been pointed out, unless we try to to sit back and counter he's pretty useless.

I think he may start there for the first 5 games or something Gazza while Mata is given a break as well as Oscar, but after that i doubt we'll see Ramires on the wing unless its a big game.

Don, would you be happy to start season with just Torres as striker? and no cover for RB?

For the first 2 or 3 games yes, but not for a whole season and we're getting a RB so no biggy

Ramires is very limited as a winger. He's only useful if there's space to run in behind the defence. He seldom takes players on, plays quick intricate passes, crosses well etc. So pretty much a useless winger.

This
Ramires on the right may work with Azpilicueta on the Right because from what i gather, he overlaps on the right. But with Ivanovic and Ramires on the right, there's no threat

Azpilicueta gets forward a lot, so Ramires may just be covering him most of the time, so he could work well with him.
Ivanovic is more of a 3rd cb when he plays, so that would allow more of an attacking player (Oscar/Lampard) in the 2 holding midfielders as long as there is a pure winger on the right (Marin/Moses)

Just because we'll attack more doesn't mean we won't counter attack, Ramires is by far the best counter attacking winger we have.
