Good, now perhaps he can shut the hell up for five minutes and just get out onto the pitch and let his game do the talking

^^ lol Jack and totally agree. His cricket does plenty of talking and he has to stop behaving like a spoilt brat.

he's a sensitive soul

I think he is to be honest JPB. The lad just wants to play cricket anytime everywhere. Nobody can blame him for trying to make plenty of money whilst he is capable?

This is brilliant news for England cricket.
He doesn't help himself at times but many in the game suggest he is a good man.

KP is an egomaniac. He's good, but not as good as he thinks he is. He might be a better player if he learnt some humility. A really top drawer player would have shown their worth by thrashing SA all round the park in the second innings of the second test, producing the goods when it really mattered. All the time spent telling us that he does/doesn't want to play for England might be put to better use honing his skills and making him into the legend he thinks he is.

This he must have just woken up this morning and realised how insane this whole episode was.

I have no doubt that he loves the money and the attention. But, he obviously enjoys playing in front of big crowds and winning for England at the pinnacle of the game. He was never going anywhere

Sorry, but this is a load of shiite. I watched the interview and I haven't heard so much rubbish in my life. This guy is not returning for the right reasons. You just watch how he is forgiven easily by a lot of people, even though he didn't even apologise!

................

Unbelievably stupid comment.

Did he not produce the goods when it mattered in the first innings? When England looked in more than a spot of bother.

The guy produces arguably his best knock to date giving us a sniff of a win and unselfishly goes out second time around playing his shots to pull off a run chase but doesn't come off, which was always probable and has to my knowledge possibly his best Test in his career yet you find room to criticise him?

What game were you watching?

Incase you hadn't noticed there hasn't been many occasions where a batsman has walloped a world class attack around on a pitch doing something in both innings of a Test. Good grief, going by what you say there can't be many top drawer batsman knocking around.

Hang on, GM of L, we're talking about the self appointed king of English cricket, the legend, who can pick and choose when and how he plays. He retires or not as the mood takes him; he can choose IPL money before playing for his adopted country; he can disrupt the dressing room; he can say what he wants in the media.

Well fair enough, but players who think that they are bigger than their sports usually perform heroic feats time and again to match their egos- Maradona, Woods, Bolt. KP does it too infrequently. And when he does do it, it's always a case of after the Lord Mayor's show when he's asked to perform again- as in the second innings.

He's a very good cricketer, but he's far from being a great cricketer. As I said in my earlier comment, if he learnt some humility, he be closer to being a great.

looks like flower and strauss have rightly decided to drop kp until he starts singing from the same hymn sheet as the rest of the players.it is a case of no i in team but there is an i in pietersen. as for bairstow coming in i bet the south africans will be queing up to bowl to him after what the windies did to him.where is morgan or compton?

Hi guys, not a massive cricket fan but the KP text drama has got we interested.

Has it been released exactly what he sent?

Seems to be a bit petty unless he said something really bad.

Cheers

Morgan - No chance.

Compton - Promising but better options.
