You think this is Wenger's decision?
Trust me so angry. 24mill is good money but its too friking man utd! Aaaaaaghhhh!!!!!
At least the OP knows Man U are our rivals and not them
Funky - Surely Wenger must have a say? If done behind his back he must be fuming.
You can't force a person to move abroad. RvP didn't want to leave England, so it was a case of keeping him for a year and letting him go for nothing to a rival or take the money on offer.
AHEM Sol Campbell? Or was he a freebie?
I know it's a joke but if the money's right...Tbh he will probs be burnt out after last season.
Let's see how long he enjoys living in Gunchester with his fecking premier league trophy
I am gooner- rivals is plural.
Arsenal couldn't afford to lose RVP for nothing by keeping him on for another year, and if Utd were willing to offer 24 million, which as a Utd fan is probably about 5 million more than ideal but could still turn out to be a great deal for us, well I guess Arsenal had to take the money.
The honest truth is that Arsenal may be a top 4 club but they are not in a position to challenge the Manchester clubs, so if Utd were willing to stump up the cash, did they have much choice?
I really doubt that the board went over Arsene's head, Wenger IS Arsenal and the final decision would be his.
Based on this, assumption I guess... I trust him fully, I mean, he hasn't done us wrong so far, he's kept us competitive on limited funds, I have faith in the man.
Wenger has been overturned before on Nasri, probably would happen again.
Nothing we could do anyway. Have a whose not interested, or get £24 million. It's clear what our board would do.
I hope wenger enjoys RVP scoring against us, he can say, i discovered him!
Winollgooner - are you seriously suggesting we'd have sold Campbell to you??
