Try explaining to aggers !
Soooo disappointing we squandered £35M on Carroll, £20M on Downing tho.
Hendo not ot bad, lots of potential....but wow, we couldof had £55M squid to spend
I tried in a lengthy post earlier on after that he never mentioned it again..
I try not to think about what that wasted money could of gone on
Me as well it really is sickening..
I hate how Liverpool have been a laughing stock of the PL for money spent as well. Its my club I Iove LFC to bits so it is a dent on the pride when Liverpool are the brunt of everyones jokes in the boozer!!!
Normally its just mates banter and you can stick up for the team but I just can't stick up for the 80 odd million we spent on dross!!!
In a male pride kind of way its been awful the last year. Fingers crossed this new beginning kicks on for us and this season exceeds all expectations we sure as hell deserve it!!!!
Every club has to do it. (oil rich clubs aside)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be perfectly honest, even the mega rich clubs have to sell to buy. It's a ridiculous notion to suggest that a club can bring in 5+ new players and not let any players go.
If you have a squad of 30, then bring in 5 new faces, that will be 5 of the old guard who will, at best, sit in the reserves.
Manchester City have had to sell to buy this summer, not in terms of not having funds available, but in terms of just having too many players.
Why certain people on here use the phrase sell to buy negatively on here is beyond me. Would these people want the likes of Aquilani, Cole, Maxi, Kuyt and Adam sat there on the bench or in the stands picking up silly amounts of money, money that we pay through merchandise, tickets and TV subscriptions, for doing sweet FA?
If the choice is selling before we can buy, or Portsmouth, I know which I'd choose every day. Our club was on the brink two years ago, seems to me that some on here have short memories.
For the record this isn't a dig at anybody else, i'm just bored of the silly negativity around the club.
If people don't trust the owners then that fine by me, just don't go looking for problems that don't exist.
Ignore ARE, he is just a sulky crank! FSG have cleared our debt, taken a serious and sensible stance on our stadium, improved revenues and made money available for transfers. I love the king, but lets face it, Kenny wasted all that money.
I really like their ethos too, success will make them money, a by product of that is trophies and CL qualification. It would have been exciting if
Saudi prince had bought us and thrown billions at us, but that kind if ownership is coming to an end. Once the fair play rules come in, FSG will probably look like the best owners in the league.

Oh yes the FFP is going to save us theory. Rubbish.
ARE, I'm going to filter you, I really cant be bothered with you droning on and on with negative rubbish. Grow up ya to$$er, it's not FM12.
You are no loss Raggs you spend most of your time being argumentative for no good reason and I've noticed your arrogant manner with other fans as well. Forums are not the place for you.
Idiotic liverpool fans
Filtering each other
You were and always will be the laughing stock with "next year is our year" and it won't change under Rodgers.
With this model, it won't get as bad as it got even if FFP don't bite as expected. There is always a failure possibility of the rules failure. With FA appointing the united guy to the fifa committee anything can happen. I don't expect some clubs especially both the mancs and chelsea to be cooperative when the fa starts a wage cieling. To us it a win win situation.
FFP is only for clubs in the CL.
Why do scousers think that FFP is going to be your saviour?
If any club wants to know how to sell-to-buy. Look no further than Arsenal
The only thing with Arsenal is they forget the buy part.
Not really. They invest in top talent youth and nuture them. Although this past 2 windows Wenger has targeted the quality "off the radar" players between the ages of 25-28. Picking them up at resonable prices too

It's for every club you fool! In that case those not in the CL could spend what they liked to get into the CL Another thick wum!
What the idiot wum does not know is that Fifa expects member associations te implement similar rules. This includes the fa.
Actually its this way.
In order to enter UEFA's european competitions you have to balance your books.
If a club like lets say Stoke manages to finish midtable every season but dont really qualify for Europe, UEFA dont really care whether their books are balancing or not. Its only when Stoke do qualify for Europe that UEFA will investigate their books.
Over time it will be introduced by the FA but for now its just UEFA.

Time to educate your fellow liverpool fans. They still think liverpool have a birthright to qualify for the CL.
If Jones is the next Baresi then Carroll is the next Ronaldo and Spearing is the next Pele.
Actually its this way.
