Such a simple way of looking at things.
FSG haven't taken a penny out of the Red Sox or Liverpool football club. The only way they will make any money is by selling the club for more than they have put into it.
And if they manage to do that then we should be happy! They will have made us a more valuable club meaning we are more successful on the field and a more financially sound institution.
And this is a problem, why?
great
sorry , i mean if anyone starts that nonsense after 3 games ...
If you buy a crap car - fix it up and it's worth 10 times it's value, have you made any money from it?
If a big mutli national company really wanted to make money, a football club is not the way forward, they could invest their millions in much more profitable ventures.
They just need to stabalise a club that was dangerously close to going into administration, that doesn't happen over night. We have now got rid of the stadium debt, got rid of useless high earners and have made great off field deals. Yes we would have all liked some strikers on the final day, even the owners, it didn't happen for one reason or another.
But believe me, come next summer we will be in a much better position to compete financially.
Our first team is not bad, we are a bit light on squad players, gelling will take time and the start to our season was always going to be tough.
I saw some positives on saturday, even if others didn't, the team needs tweaking (Borini through the middle), it will come good.
Its no where near as bad as some doom mongers are making out.
How is it FSG's fault but not Roger's fault? Why did BR let 3 strikers go and only get one more in? He needs to take responsibility for that too surely?
the maddest piece of business craig bellamy leave ...(

Craig wanted to leave to be closer to his family. I think what happened with Gary Speed affected him quite badly and he wanted to be with is family in Cardiff.
So its not really a mad piece of business. In fact we showed compassion.
We do need to take into account the fact that FSG spent 50m quid this year writing off Laurel and Hardie's bs stadium plans.
FSG are here to create a long term, sustainable plan for success and they haven't taken even one pence out of the club.

Fred, what about the reduced wage bill after releasing players? Who was paying those players wages? What about the increased commercial revenue?
See my comment on the earlier I hate fsg thread where I illustrate how they make their money while not taking a penny from any of their sports franchises..
And educate yourself.

The club were paying those wages. Not FSG.
The entity benefiting from losing the top earners not deserving of their money is the club. Not FSG directly.

Other than Carroll, we kept all our best players
When in the last 18 months has Carroll been one of our best players?
Skrtel, Agger, Suarez, Gerrard, Lucas, Enrique, Johnson all had a better season than Carroll last term.

If the revenue of my business increases through cost reductions guess who benefits
The business.
Liverpool just becomes a more valuable asset to FSG and do they benefit from that? Not until they sell it.
