Yeh that was good BK . I was good at fifa 12 tackling for a bit but then the people who use skills etc just ripped me apart. I don't use the analog sticks either i use the directional buttons and i don't really know skills so for me i find the fifa 11 tackling easier

I honestly have no idea why they put contain in the game. It is basically easy mode and ruins tactical defending. If i wanted the computer to do my defending for me I would play on legacy defending.

I hope that when you search for a game the team you are paired up with is based on actual number ratings and not stars. Then see how many players pick Real Madrid

I really don't like it when players block runs. I play a one-two, then on the return pass, I pass, but my player has been blocked. Always happens in good positions too.


Oh and also I hope they sorted out referees. Always in the way, and gives penalties to perfect tackles.

Annoying thing was i found was that because i wanted to use legacy defending online i had to play unranked head to head matches and about 90% of people all have their stupid custom teams where most of the players are from other clubs or all 99. e.g. messi,ronaldo,iniesta,xavi,neymar all on one team etc.

Wish they wouldn't let you do that when playing online

I'm hoping with manager mode on fifa 13 this time they finally bring back the old " visual sim " that was quality and the best bit about it. Quick sim / playing it was just stupid either way because if you quick sim you can't make subs or nothing.

Bloodred. I play FIFA. Not because I want to but because Pro Evo is really bad. Stil doesnt mean I like FIFA. They've taken the fun out of it and made everything too flipping realistic. You cant dribble for fun past players like you could do in Pro Evo and end up with a goal. You get literally 1 second on the ball with Messi before you dispossesed by John O Shea

When you go online to play PES how many other people are there? Like 5?

I´ve always been a big FIFA fan and have played it since FIFA 98.

I didn´t like FIFA 12. It seemed too difficult and unecessarily complicated.

Hopefully FIFA 13 will be less so.

I've heard the manager mode has been made a lot more realistic re:transfers and also you have internationals woven into it.

I never got FIFA 12 because I can't really justify spending £25+ on essentially slight tweaks to the same game.

But I await anxiously to see any offers on supermarket websites

PES is and always has been a lesser game and big step down from the FIFA series.

PES used to be so good, they don't seem to have changed the game engine very much at all since pro evo 5 which for my money is the best football game of all time, 6 still held it's own and that had random selection match which was possibly the best original feature on a football game.
Since those two it's been FIFA for me.

When is the actual release date? I don't have FIFA 12 so it is going to be a big leap from FIFA 11 with all the tactical defending nonsense that I don't understand.

Oh, pro how I loved thee

PES was the ultimate footballing game, every game was a different game. It was so realistic. The pes 4,5 and 6 were probably the best games.

Pes at the mo is sheeet, fifa will never reach the levels of PES of back in the day.

I still reckon I can beat any of you in FIFA as I had to play it coz PES went crap....agree with Mr Chelsea about that.

Basically in Pro Evo, you could dribble from back to front and score a goal. There's no better feeling than that

The last PES I played was the one where you could shoot from the half way line with Adriano and score.
