It might be irrelevant to you but to many it's of vital importance.

I'm a proud Scot who supports independance. I don't hate England in the slightest and will not be tarred with that brush.

However I do find having my nationality and political views dismissed as irrelevant rather offensive.

Tennis isn't a team game. Plenty of people support players from other countries.

Also I wouldn't say draping himself in the union jack is asserting his Scottishness

Still if he wants to emphasise that, who are you to argue, he has no obligation to do otherwise.

This is why Scotland is investigating massively in renewable energy. The potential is there to run the country on renewables and provide energy to the continent as well.
