Sorry to be so negative but to be honest i personally would not travel that far for a game of football 8hr round trip ,petrol etc despite the fact we appear to have the best albion side ever ...yes ever ! i firmly believe we are going to have a season to remember, Games come thick and fast ,you can still listen to radio derby live commentary and watch the goals at night on the football league show but you know that already . Right i think we are going to sneak a draw 1-1 .Torquay are again a good side ,but so are we, and we are due a draw .
Point at Torquay will be OK for me.
2-2.
After all the positives i cant believe how negative you guys are.2-0 to the Brewers.
It would seem the boss will start with the team that finished against York City with Billy Kee in the squad for Yussef. Billys old club ! I'm pleased with that, if it ain't broke don't fix it !
Personally i think the league game more important than Bradford.
Torquay don't give much away but are not scoring much either and are not in my opinion as strong as they were last season.
If we get the rub of the green and put in the type of disciplined performance we know we are capable of i can't see us losing so i'm bravely going for a 2-1 win to the Brewers. However having said that football's a funny old game !!!
Got to stay positive and say:
Torquay 0 - 2 Brewers
Think we're playing really well and also agree with terraceman - if it ain't broke don't fix it - the starting 11 the last two/three games have been outstanding.
Bradford I think Rowett will probably make a few changes for (although the Boardroom might have a few things to say about that!!) but League football is what it is all about for a club like Burton.
There's a doubt for Torquay in that Rene Howe has a bit of a knock, always thought he was a donkey, but he seems to have found some form at Plainmoor - he's another monster that Zander will have to take control of!
Really excited about watching this squad again - long may it continue!
Torquay will have had a day more to recover from their mid-week match and it's a long journey down there.I'm going to be optimistic though and go for a 3-2 win to the Albion. In truth I'd gladly settle for a draw.
Going down there and getting a result would be an incredible achievement having had little time to recover from Wednesday. Nevertheless I'm going to be less pessimistic than usual on the predictor and go for a battling 2-2.
Tough away game torquay to beat us by the odd goal 2-1
Got a bit of reaction from my assertion that the York match was pivotal. I think it was that 3 wins on the trot is a meaningful run, and has pushed us into a challenging 6th position. The dream is more realistic than last years false position.
The Torquay game is slightly less pivotal, than the York game, and I think most of us would accept a point beforehand. Defeat at Torquay would not be seen as "the end of the world" as they are still a good side and hard to beat. However, to maintain our run, and stay up with the "big boys" we need a draw to maintain our unbeaten run.
I believe we will get it. If we can play with the same consistency of application and effort as in the last 3 games , we are quite capable of beating anyone in this league. Hence, I go for the run to continue with :
Torquay 2 Brewers 3
Cmon you Brewers!
Note the Brewers now 60/1 to win the League
Brewer Dave
Torquay1 Brewers2
A ugly win as the Brewers wil grind out another win and make it 4 on a trot. Come on Brewers prove me right.
COME ON YOU BREWERS.
I am going for a draw 1-1
I've found this one difficult for some reason - but then again, aren't they all! I've wavered between all three results. In the end I've gone for another Brewers win 2.1 with Billy Kee scoring the winner against his old club.
Cutting it fine...hope I'm not too late!
Torquay 2 Brewers 1
Well, the actual rule is that you must post your score prediction by kick off DTMB. I see yours was at 3.01pm. I'll let you have that one though. It might have been a different story if you had got the score right mind you.
That can be the one and only of the season folks. I stipulated that rule at the start of the predictor last season but not this. All scores in before kick off or they will be adjudged to have been offside.
