Really need to up the tempo, that 6 will help
Well played England, not going to be that simple against the Sri Lankans. Good stuff from Finn and Wright, were not out of it yet
so wright has maintained his unpredicatble form. Whenever I unselect him, he come up with a big innings.
Good win for England but I would expect them to beat NZ and I think they should have won that with a bit more to spare
Neon "driving" again? Anyway, serious games ahead now - keep the team, change the opening order or?
Do England a favour then and keep him out of your team Viru
so NZ are out of the competition! the winner of sl and wi match will automatically go thru to semis.
nah for now, im going to get rid of kieswetter. he been giving me negative points from the last couple of matches, I'll rest him.
Can`t see us beating SL in the last game, but you never know.
Kieswetter would be better at five or six but we have a lack of batsmen who can play in the top 3.
I wonder who could replace Kieswetter and open the batting with Hales?
I can't think of anyone good enough...
Maybe someone with experience...
Proven class and history in T20...
A world class match winner...
Let's be honest Yorkie, WE could probably "edge" a few balls and score / survive longer than Kieswetter based on his current opening form. No bad on the guy - but he cannot open again this tour, surely. Saying that, in the T20 lottery - does good cricket strategy thinking still really apply? All seems very tactical & "luck on the day".
True. I think we can afford one of Kieswetter or Wright in their. Neither are 'proper' batsmen like Bell or KP.
Personally, I would have Kieswetter as back up.
The OP of this article is incorrect. New zealand can still go through depending on results going there way. They need sri lanka to win today, thrash west indies then hope sri lanka beat england.
Great result for England today. For next match i would probably persevere with kieswetter as opener because dropping him down in the order might dent his confidence. Plus the team re used to this lineup now so theres no point changing it so late in the semi-finals.
Lumb is the only other playe who could come in but who would he replace?
