Furth and Augsburg send shivers down your spine
Aubgsburg the dirty bastads.
Augsburg next. Three games in five days, are you kidding me? Rotation time.
Absolutely dominated but took a while to break them down, Huntelaar getting the winner in the 67th minute. Took them until the 90th minute to get a shot on target, Koo forcing a save from Hildebrand and Tchoyi firing the rebound wide.
Oh that Tchoyi. Hat trick.
Including friendlies I've now played four different players at RB in seven games. Uchida, Hoewedes, Hoeger, Moritz.
Not even got enough cyash to sign youth players now
Wonder how good Schalke's young players will get. Got Max Meyer, Dennis Erdmann, Kaan Ahyan, Rene Klingenburg, Philipp Hofmann and Manuel Torres all out on loan. I refuse to use potential websites
Potential websites are useless. A lot of the potential is randomised.
I think they're pretty accurate. Obviously depends on how you play as well though.
Will probably loan out Terence Kongolo in January as well, I'm sorted for CBs. Bene, Papa, Matip, plus Metzelder's still rated higher and I like playing him because he's a leader of men and a nice guy.
What I'd like to know is how EA have updated players every week (like Shaw was like 61, now 70) do they also update their potential.
I think growth ruins career mode, for me. Physical stats grow ridiculously high, whereas skill stats drop too much for older players.
Plus Kolasinac and Marrone can play there. Marrone was good on his debut, similar to Neustadter but a better passer. SKA knows.
Yeah Kent it's not great. They have a lot to improve on in so many areas, think they were very complacent with 13.
Like if I see every player in the game having 95+ pace, acceleration, stamina blah blah it's just dull.
It's difficult to play against with your slow, weak youth players.
Unrealistic. Some physical stats shouldn't change much, such as Klose will always have high jumping and reactions. They should limit how much physical stats go down by, especially for certain players. Nesta had 18 stamina by the end of my Zaragoza one ffs.
I think it is quite realistic that older players have high technical stats and can even improve in them in their 30s but their physical stats go down.
I don't like how some youth players come out with technical stats (I.e. Aggression, vision, attack position etc.) in the 90s at 16. It means that this propels their OVR to much higher than it should be, I once had an 80 CAM but bar technical stats none if his attributes were over 75.
And of course I've already spoken on all the regens that just end up being physical monsters, carbon copies of each other.
Not by the amount they do though. Plus their technical stats go down as well. In my Zaragoza one I think Puyol was rated 68 or something by the second season
Dealt well with the fixture congestion, finished with a 1-1 draw with Wolfsburg, Huntelaar scoring. Only two days off before a game against Bayern though.
Signed a few good players over summer.
Lecointe from Plymouth was a great find, also signed Marquinhos, Melgarejo and Luke Shaw. Not bad not bad.
And this being FIFA, Bayern is probably the easiest match so far. 2-0 win, Draxler with a powerful strike at the near post and Huntelaar with a simple finish after Neuer gives it away from the goal kick. They didn't cause many problems, I created plenty of chances in the first half and even though it wasn't as easy in the second, still a deserved win and another clean sheet.
Four points clear at the top but Dortmund have a game in hand, PSG in the CL next.
Lost 7-2 to PSG, they scored almost every time they went in my box. Ibra with four, one each for Gameiro, Coulibaly, Lucas. Draxler and Bastos for me, Fuchs sent off harshly and Hoewedes out for three weeks with injury. Only conceded 8 goals in 9 games including friendlies before that
I have 4 players with long term injuries about 8 games into the season.
2 broken ankles, a sprained knee and an MCL.
Hoewedes has got a sprained knee I think. Or ankle.
Shots 9-19
On target 3-11
Fortuna Dusseldorf 3-3 Schalke
And that's only thanks to two late goals from Bastos coming on as a sub.
They took the lead with a lucky Schahin header and scored again when he got a near-post goal. Huntelaar got one back with a header after their defender's best attempts to rip Draxler's arm out of its socket, but they made it 3-1 with a ridiculous passing move due to the game poorly positioning my defenders at their free kick (why yes, I'd love to have my 6'4'' CB 40 yards from my goal with my two shortest players in my box). Bastos scored a brilliant 35 yard free kick then instantly grabbed an equaliser and I could've won it had van Ginkel shot on target or Marica had any support
