Liverpool have been in decline for a long time now. They're no more than mid table club, full to the brim with average players.

Decent clubs like Spurs have easily taken their place and moved on.

Ironman, i am concentrating on my team......very happy with them thank you very much. I just think the negativity towards AVB and positivity towards Rogers is embarassing considering AVB is doing the much better job so far.

Is that 6 wins at home out of 20?! even poor Everton have overtaken them

Some might argue that AVB deserves more stick as Spurs have a much better squad on paper.
And that the Rodgers project is more or less starting from scratch.

Liverpool have a weak squad and young inexperienced players compare to Spurs. When you spend 12 mill on goal keeper alone you expect your team to win games against Norwich.

RDBD, Rogers has still spent plenty of money on the likes of Borrini and Allen. Yes we have a better team than Liverpool but this praise he is getting when his team have been nothing but average is baffling, whilst AVB continues to be getting stick from id iot commentators like Tony Gale etc

Yeh and Liverpool have also spent 11million on some unknown youngster Borrini, don't give me that excuse

It's different, we were playing good football before AVB, Liverpool have been awful for the last few seasons and before then they were the Gerrard and Torres show plus the Alonso and Mascherano Midfield. You cannot recreate that without money and luck so he has a hell of a time ahead of him.

The press will be trying to bring AVB down but Levy will give him time

Don :

Said it was an argument, not that I particularly endorse it.

Fair point Don,as AVB does get a bad press, while Brendan appears to get an easier ride.

Likewise,RDM's work goes relatively praise free, yet witness his results thus far.

More focus on Cole tweets and JT.............funny old game.

Is this guy for real? Lloris, one of Europe's finest prospects, we got him at a bargain price. If Loserool didn't spend all that money on Carroll, they could have had THREE top, top goalkeepers, who captain their country

It's Liverpool, what do you expect? Nearly time for EL Classico.

And who is Borini?! Has he even scored yet?! its a good thing they got Suarez, else they'd be in the Championship by now

Exactly, whilst everyone else was creaming over Rogers...... i knew he would be out of his depth and is just an average manager with no justification as to why he get's so much praise.

I dont enjoy having a pop at other teams mainly becuase I think it will come back and bite us on the nehind.

As for Liverpool I do think they are very colse to becoming the Tottenham of the 90's, just like us a few bad decisions by thier owners and they find themselves a long way behind the top teams. They are already on the slope, a few more bad choices by their board and they are in big trouble. Its a long way back the top as we all know only too well.

Rogers had Swansea playing well.
He may well progress, just too soon for where Spurs are, to consider him.

posted on 7/10/12

Will not be a pleasant journey for them if Spurs is anything to go by.

don't think Rodgers is such a bad manager, think he has under-estimated the job before him though. problem is the combination of a wholly mediocre squad, yet fans and pundits who still think the club is God's gift to football

btw Don, off topic but massive for recommending Breaking Bad, only about half way through season 2 but i've already had to ration it

again
