It was great to win today but let's not get carried away, we are lacking big time when it comes to putting teams away. The LAL crew will be waiting for an opportunity to bring out the 's.

But for the time being LAA

But you make a valid point in terms of our overall performance on the pitch this season.
Difference between Liverpool, and United and City, isnt the ability to play football, but the strength of their squads, in terms of the amount of potential match winners in their teams.
Anyway, onward and upwards.

There'll be no LAL'ing today as the Arsenal and Spurs kids won't be in the mood after their results today.

LAA and LAS!

Jlou
I think you're right. Even though we're short on numbers, what we have in abundance is quality. I can see us signing a different style of player, expect more Nuri Sahins than Stewart Downings.

If my auntie had balls........you know the rest

No mate, we are going to be signing that type of player. However, we won't be signing rubbish strikers from the French league like Giroud, Park Chu Young and Gervinho.

Suso and Sterling.....better than Adam and Downing? if thats the case, then thats about £28M wasted.

Sterling has already got assists and scored today, has managed more in 8 games than Downing managed in a whole season; as for Suso.....he will be a top top draw player, one that could well be in the £25-35M price bracket!

No it isn't, as we got £4m back for Adam and thus lost only £1m on him and will get half the money back for Downing, if we sold.

No manager can know before he spends that players don't work out and two of the best players in the season before were certainly expected to work out.

If..IF..we would have achieved what we deserved vs Utd and City...ie,6 points we would be on 15 points

We could all say the mate,we were jibbed points against Newcastle and Wigan, which would of given us 4 extra points taking us level with the Manc's with a game in hand.

Whenever this kind of post comes along, I can't help but feel that in order to get a true reflection of "ifs", then all the games involving all the teams have to be taken into equation. For example, Stoke getting a point against City because Crouch scored with his hand.

And of course, that dictates another variable. If (using the Stoke-City game as an example), Crouch didn't score that goal (or it was disallowed), then how would the game have panned out from that point?

In short, it's a futile exercise.

Do you know Got_Better?

I know ripley..but, performance wise and considering we have 1 striker we aint doing to bad considering new manager, numerous tennagers and a new system added to the fact we outplayed the champions and created enough to beat the champions of 2yrs ago...you get my drift?

posted on 20/10/12

Out played the last two champions at home......

We do the same but take three points

posted on 20/10/12

IF yep out played us, Shelvey was unlucky too, but you were lacking in the final 3rd, I suppose IF you had a top finisher then you may be better placed.
