it'll be because the guy he'll end up facing has a scheduled fight for around this fight
calm down, he'll go up next year
rnr, where did you hear this?
He shouldnt be fighting at this level. At worst he should be fighting a Murray or Crolla. I was going to get tickets for that night! Dont think i will bother if that is true.
rnr, shouldnt it be the Lightweight division?
Broners fighting on the 17th of November
Murryas hasnt fought for a year and has lost his last 2
Crolla has lost his last fight and is a very poor fighter
think its a good fight
Walsh is super featherweight so I imagine he is moving up for the fight.
It's been announced mate so it's def happening.
I would rather he fought Scott fookin Harrison for a tune up.

That's saying something aswell. If he's planning on fighting Broner next then he should have been looking at fighting someone like Katsidis again as a tune-up. Not some no mark domestic level fighter
it will be to keep him on his toes
no point fighting someone who could give him a few meaty shots
its a perfect way to end a perfect year
I want to know what RB's plans are for next year. Broner is fighting Demarco in Feb/Mar.......will he go after the winner of that for a summer fight???
hes fighting de marco on the 17th of November
That will be a good fight. Broner be too good for him though.
Was waiting for you to say that rnr. I bet when Ricky does come ti fight Broner , youl be hoping for a draw
Would ah fock, Broner looks like a wee fud. undoubted ability though
Seems like a fight just to keep him active.
Big fights next year from him though.
What are your thoughts on Burns D4?
He has all the attributes, turned into a great fighter and keeps improving
Very impressed by Ricky.
A very intelligent, disciplined, follows the game plan to a tee, no matter what it is.
Excellent timing, controls the distance very well with some great footwork and looks very strong at the weight.
Tight guard that blocks a lot of shots and looks difficult to break down, seems to have a very decent chin, took some shot from Katsidis.
A good jab that he uses well and can go to the body well and can throw decent uppercuts.
Well conditioned as well.
Think he will beat Broner if that fight happens next year.
Good analysis mate
Can't believe how much he has improved over the last couple of years. He looked frightening in the Mitchell fight, totally dominated him and made Mitchell who is a good fighter look very poor.
He looks so strong at the weight now and as you say he is in fantastic condition
He keeps himself in top shape in between fights and boxing is his life. Seems like a really nice guy aswell.
A fight with Broner would be an extremely difficult one but I see it as a 50-50 fight.

Ricky Burns faces another world title challenge from an Englishman after European lightweight champion Liam Walsh was named as his next opponent - with a unification fight against Adrien Broner on offer for the winner.
Scotland's WBO lightweight champion, who was on top form as he stopped Kevin Mitchell in four rounds last month, will face the unbeaten Walsh at London's Excel on December 15.
Promoter Frank Warren has lined up a glamour contest against unbeaten American WBC champion Broner for whoever comes out on top.
Walsh stepped up to lightweight in July when he stopped Domenico Urbano in the eighth round at Upton Park to claim the European belt.
The 26-year-old has stopped his opponent in 10 of 13 professional fights, including his memorable Commonwealth super-featherweight title win over Scot Paul Appleby, who was pulled out ahead of the 10th round.
Burns, who has won all seven of his world title fights over two weights, said: "Walsh is a good strong fighter, he's unbeaten and this is his big chance to win the world title.
"I was ringside when he fought Appleby and he showed tremendous heart and strength to come through when he was deep in trouble.
"I'll be in the best shape possible and will leave nothing to chance for this one."
The 29-year-old Coatbridge fighter added: "The big motivator is a showdown with Broner, who I was accused of avoiding last year.
"Since moving up to lightweight and winning the world title my stock and profile has increased and now that it's a unification fight it's a much bigger fight than before."
Walsh felt a date with Burns was his destiny and has already been preparing to cause an upset.
"To fight for the world title is my dream and I'm going to cause a big upset on December 15 at the Excel when I take the crown from Burns," he said.
"It's always been on my mind that I would fight him one day and it's now here.
"He's a great champion, I've studied and watched him throughout his career and I know I've got the tools to beat him.
"He's looked great in the last few years and he did a stunning job on Mitchell.
"He's in the prime of his career now so when I beat him people will know that I've beaten the best."
The bill also features Commonwealth super-middleweight champion George Groves against Glen Johnson and Billy Joe Saunders defending his Commonwealth middleweight title against Nick Blackwell.
Ricky to knock him out in 5
