I heard Vidicschin loves the 4231 formation that article says we should use.
4-2-3-1
------------De Gea------------
--Rafael--Vidic--Ferdinand--Evra--
-------Carrick----Anderson-------
-----Nani---Rooney---RvP-----
------------Hernandez------------
This is a team that will exploit Chelsea's weaknes in defense as Ando will be able to force the play forward with RvP attacking from the left and Hernandez drifting to the righ with rooney coming up the middle. Carrick will seat and protect the back 4 with Nani providing the width.

I agree but good luck with the responses mate
^ I agree with your team, but I would go with Valencia over Nani.
Hi guys. Just read one of the first decent articles from goal.com!
People, like me, will stop reading there unfortunately.

Put it this way, if I were playing 4-2-3-1, Scholes wouldn't be in it.
I have no problem with the formation at all, it is just that SAF doesn't play it. It looks on paper like he does, but Wellbeck is always deployed out wide, not tight inside.
Is it anything more than an interchangeable 4-5-1 or a 4-3-3? IMO, not really.
De Gea ?
He's been poor hasn't he ?
I would go with Valencia over Nani.
..........................
I agree with that, Valencia is the only winger I have see who consistantly gets the better of Cole. And that includes Ronaldo.

Who knows? Maybe he is using a sign in name like TheChameleonProject.
I would love to see a front 4 of Rooney, RvP, Hernandez and Nani but I just don't see SAF going for it. I think Valencia and Welbeck will start on the wings.
We will play on the counter vs Chelsea. They would murder our defence on the counter with their pace an movement and they can only defend as a unit (a lot like us this season).
Valencia gives Cole more problems than Nani and he will get the ball in the box where as Nani likes to take on a player or 2 and cut inside so I would go with Valencia.

I thought little of the article
I'm hoping we see Rooney play out on the left this weekend. He's looked very good when playing out there and I think it would make us a lot harder to beat in this game.
De Gea
Rafael Rio Evans Evra
Valencia Carrick Cleverly Anderson Rooney
RVP
Gone with Valencia for the same reason VC has.
Having Nani, Hernandez, Young (?) and Scholes on the bench gives us far more options to change it around if need be.
A fan of Nani but I'd definitely say Valencia over him in this particular game seeing as Valencia runs Cole ragged at times. The acceleration Valencia has is frightening, something that will keep Cole in his own half hopefully.
I just have this horrible feeling that Ryan Giggs will start this game. He's played against them a fair few times now, and credit to him put out good performances. Shame he can't do it against others anymore!
Agree BusbyBabes - We'll definitely be playing on the counter, imagine not doing so - Hazzard, Mata and Oscar all on form would terrorise our leaky defence.
Agreed Darkphoenix.
I'm really worried about seeing Giggs in the starting line up as well.
If Scholes, Giggs and Carrick all play we will lose. They're too slow and immobile to keep up with the pace and movement of Chelsea's attack.
Cleverly and/or Anderson have to play. Or even Fletcher, but I'm not sure he will due to playing the full 90 the other day.

---------
Bang on! If Sir Alex plays this tomorrow against the likes of Hazzard, Mata and Oscar - I'll just laugh as it'll not even worth being angry about!
I can't see either side keeping a clean sheet on Sunday because of the attacking players each side possess and how poor each sides' defence has been so far this season.
I think it'll be vital for us to keep it tight and compact at the back and in midfield and for us to leave no space in between our defence and midfield because Hazard, Oscar and Mata could open any team up given a small amount of room. If we leave as much space as we did in between defence and midfield as we did against Spurs, Chelsea will probably open us up with ease.
Given how poor Chelsea have been in the full back areas, it would be a mistake to go with the narrow diamond formation for this game.
Valencia for me is a certainty to start given his performances against Chelsea and Cole specifically because as people have already said, I don't think I've seen anyone give Cole as much trouble as Valencia has over the years.
I also think Scholes will start because he wasn't involved against Braga but of course I hope he doesn't because I think we're going to need someone alongside Carrick with energy who's mobile, who can close down and put in a tackle.
This seems to be one of the most eagerly awaited team selections in recent memory.
Even if only Scholes plays, that is still handing the advantage to Chelsea.
I love the wee guy to death, but he just doesn't have the stamina for this level of football anymore. And it is painful for me to watch.
TRS, VC,
Given how badly people don't want Giggs, Scholes and the diamond formation to be used, I'm half expecting Fergie to throw this one up:
De Gea
Rafael Rio Evans Evra
----------Carrick
Scholes Giggs
-----------Rooney
-----Welbeck RVP
When we're in possession of the ball and dominating he's fantastic but when we don't have it, he contributes virtually nothing defensively so it's like playing with 10 and a half men and there's always a risk he could get himself sent off which he could've been against Stoke for a few reckless challenges.
Bring him off the bench after 65-70 minutes. It's the only way he should be used.
