ARE......fully agree, they have said they can compete with the best and BR has done a very good job ridding the club of expensive contracts while still competing with the top clubs and Everton(); Jan will be a real marker for a lot of our fans.....lets hope they dont let us down.

For what its worth i dont think they will let us down, wouldnt suprise me if £30-40M was spent.

If you spend 30-40 mill, any ideas who he will bring in?

FSG have to give the manager the money to buy a quality attacking player (and hopefully enough for a young upcoming front man).

From news reports it seems that money may become available. Immediately after the summer debacle, i wan't hopeful (lack of value in January).

However, then the open letter was released. If John Henry writes a letter to the fans, basically saying there was a communications balls up (amateurish as fluck imo). Then FSG implement a new scouting network with the promise that this shouldn't happen again . Therefore, it would be negligent and foolish to choose not enter the transfer market, or prohibit spending. The fans would quite rightly asking questions... angry questions.

Losing Suarez would be my worst nightmare

I think that if he were to move on, he'd still be my favourite player.

Does'nt bare thinkin about!

If we lose him its bottom six material!

WE'RE Not going to lose Luis in January.

If we don't manage more than eight wins in 2013, then next season, well, I won;t be so sure.

Thats what we thought about torres!!

Jokin aside though,i used to absolutely hate the fact that some top players would cry about not having their ambitions met and decide to leave,i hope history does'nt repeat itself, cos we really do need to match suarez's if we want to keep hold of him for the future!
I dislike that whole thing, but we gotta accept it nowadays that's just the way the business of football is!

FSG and BR have a long term plan. However I think we need a short term fix to help us for this season. It may only be a case of two experienced players on reasonable wages who can then be moved on after a year or so.

If you don't get top 4......Suarez will be off in the summer.

Not sure he will want to wait another 2 years at the MINIMUM to get himself back in the CL.

Massive year this for you lot. Which makes your summer transfer business even more bizarre.

I have been pioneering a LFC move for Huntelaar on this for months now!!! If it happens then days like Sunday will be less occurrent. Off the top of my head the Shelvey chance on Sunday if that fall sto Huntelaar then it's 2-1 same with the Sterling chance... These guys need help they need a confident scorer in the team to take the pressure off.. One more player popping in with goals takes more pressure off others and before you know it they are all banging them in. Huntlaar is the BEST option available to us in terms of quality and experience he is a MUST for LFC in my opinion...

No it's totally realistic. You just dread the thought of it and to be honest I can hardly blame you. Your team without Suarez would be borderline garbage.

He's far too good for the Europa league year upon year and there's no guarantee you'll be back in that next season the way you're playing.

Why shouldn't he want to play in the Champions League?

Just because you'd hate to see him leave, doesn't make it unlikely. At the end of the day, if he kicks up a fuss and wants out....he'll get his way. Just like every other modern day footballer.

If we get walcott and huntelaar id say 4th is a real possibility. Remember we MAY have this as an attack;

...................Lucas..................
.......Gerrard........Allen..........
Walcott......................Suarez
................Huntelaar.............

Sterlings done nothing wrong but him and suso are just missing the experience of hunts and walcott which means they are sometimes making the wrong choice.

You stated it as fact. As if that was the only one possible outcome if we don't reach the top 4.

There is a chance he would go. It all depends on where we finish. I don't think we will get fourth, but at the same time if say we fished higher than we did last season, then I think he will stay.

You're mystic smeg of a post is pure guesswork.

Last season the Mancs were telling us Suarez wasn't all that, was overrated and not in the same league as the likes of Rooney and RVP.

Now they have been shown up as he starts the season like a train, receiving plaudits from all over, they have resorted to 'so he will leave you soon anyway '

I have always thought that Suarez is a superior footballer to Rooney.

Torres left after 4yrs and that was through our worst period. At least under BR we are getting quality players in (sahin..allen) and letting poorer ones leave (spearing..adam); this had stopped when Torres left also H&G had no future plan and skrewed liverpool.

You're not rivals (for honours at least) with us anymore so we're hardly worried about Suarez staying with you lot. And for the record I have always thought he was a good player, even if he is a little toe rag. In fact I'd much rather him stay with you than Join a better team.

You can't have a decent debate with a scouser on here without agenda and conspiracy theories and all of that.

And he will leave if you don't improve greatly and get back into the CL. If he doesn't then, he clearly lacks ambition to make it to the very top, which obviously he has the talent to do so.

Watch rooney.....runs, jinks left cuts to right foot and diagonal ball in.......obvious and thats why at international level he is poor, the defenders at that level wont let him do that, but at prem level he gets away with it.
