Indeed. It'll at least be exciting while Australia are batting.

Seems like Aus are going to hit out and try to bowl RSA out. Should be interesting!

This situation even makes an England fan sad that Warnie isn't around anymore.

Just declare at 100 ahead when Huss gets his ton, if he really wants to go for the win then every over is going to count.

If they declare now they would have to bat again. May as well get the runs now?

I suppose there is also the time it takes to swap over, might be on to something there.

Did Wade not get the memo about quick runs? At least look to get Clarke on strike..

Have to put them in before lunch at least, it's always good to have a little half hour spell before a break.

Wade has bgeun to accelerate rapidly in his scoring. Three very nice 4s.

Wow. I try really hard not to be impressed by Clarke as a batsman and a captain...but this is impressive, gutsy, aggressive stuff.

In contrast we have Cook who manages to be a defensive odi captain

hazsa, last year in the windies clarke declared 50 runs behind and won the match.

I remember it well. I'm very jealous.

This is shaping up to be a corker!

Pattinson, come on!!!

hazsa, you watch aus vs wi? Is that to keep tabs on how the aussies are coming along for the next ashes?

I watch a lot of Test Cricket, not alot of WI 'cos they're crap, but I remember watching a bit of that match when it seemed like something interesting was afoot.

If Pattinson looks this up for it what is Siddle going to look like?

No ball

When a batsman joins the crease he scratches mid/off stump......will we see the bowlers scratch a line 100mm before the no-ball crease chalk in the near future.
There must of been thousands of wickets taken in the past when in fact it was a no-ball...

Neon, after a bit of early excitment with quick runs on the agenda it was always going to pitter out for a draw.....the commentators tried to build up some excitment as if Aust. had a chance but as soon as we saw the rain coming down on Sat. it was never going to be anything but a draw really...
All things equal leading into the 2nd test which should be a cracker with some good old fashioned sledging to be completed.....

aus have got it to win the series. i think sa are too reliant on amla nd kallis nd once they r out its hard to win

Think you might have a point. Surely at some point they'll be relying on Rudolph and the lower order to make runs.

even against england if amla and kallis dint score runs, then SA would have lost quite easily, but I put aussies favourate to win the series. they know there conditions very well.
