Anyone worth their salt on here would admit he looked around and said he didn't know, which is perfectly possible. He asked the umpire to take a look, which is done with regularity in modern cricket.

Tbh he didn't claim for the catch, he just looked around like a lost puppy. Maybe he didn't know it had dropped hence asking for the review or maybe he didn't want to hear Swann moan about him dropping it.
