Roman's sackings always lead to good things. I have faith.
Some fans act like Roman is Hicks or Gillet, he wants the best for Chelsea just as much as we do.

this . The guy did crazy things but it's just because he's crazy about Chelsea and always want perfection for our club. Why is he desperate to get Guardiola for us? to destroy our club?
Some of the criticism he got on here is extremely harsh.
I would be happy, today made me realise how bad things are at our club. shameful day to be a Chelsea fan

Would you rather we keep our manager and win nothing in 8 years?
RA could employ a management team of Shankly and Ferguson and they still wouldn’t be given a chance.
RA is only interested in the short term success of Chelsea. This is evidenced as he seems to have no structure at the club whatsoever for it’s long term success. If he did, he would have afforded some of the world class managers he has sacked, sufficient time to develop the squad, and left the footballing side of things to the professionals rather than trying to tamper with it himself.
Guardiola worked with the Barca B team prior to taking the reigns at the Camp Neu and his philosophy was to recruit from La Masia.
Would RA afford Guardiola two/three years to implement a similar philosophy at Chelsea. Based on the last 12yrs, it would be an emphatic no.

Im sorry but that is absolute tosh.
The first thing's he did at Chelsea was identify the need for a new training ground and how the youth academy needs improving, it was in a dire mess in 2003 and while it's taken longer than we hoped but with the trophy's our youth set up have picked up in the last few years we are slowly about to reap the rewards.
Just because he changes manager's a lot doesn't mean he doesn't have a plan.
And we are now fifth if term of revenue, and are recognized in almost every parts of the world. How did we make such a huge progress without a long term plan?
That's one thing Roman had, a plan.
Just the way he has been implementing that plan is by running us like a big company. The bigger picture is the Club and the team. Managers will come and go, and so far his plan has been working decently. 3pl, 4fa cups, 2cc, and 1cl.
Guardiola will be just another person he will add to bring him closer to the vision/plan he had. I'm not expecting Pep to still be our manager in 10 years time.
Fergie won nothing for 4 years at Utd, Shankly 7 at Liverpool after they won the old 1st division so they were established as a force, Wenger has won nothing for 7 years and Clough failed at Leeds and Brighton in between triumphs at Derby and Forest. All great managers.
It is his money so he can do what he likes, but the 1st time Chelsea were in danger of failing to qualify for the Champions League he spent on Torres and Luiz 70 odd million. I suspect that will be the strategy, if it can be called a strategy, in January too if Chelsea are off the pace.
If RA had a plan then what is it?
Each new manager CFC have brought in have had their own philosophy and style of play. Its not as if RA has recruited managers of a similar ilk.
Would you rather we keep our manager and win nothing in 8 years?

To play attractive football and win trophies with the players that are bought in. I believe that is his ultimate plan, and financially in terms of the money we generate to be up the with the biggest clubs.
Each new manager that have come in have tried, but ultimately failed or the confidence in them had gone. Rather we get rid of managers trying to work with the team we have than the other way round. Like I said with the trophy returns we have had over the last 8 years, I can't complain much as a Chelsea supporter.

Agree in relation to your trophy haul which is not in question.
The query I have is that it is not sustainable (the revolving door manager policy), unless Uefa afford RA the luxury of continuing to lavish the club with his money.
To get the top coaches CFC will have to shell out top dollar and when FFP begins to show its teeth in the next 3/5 years RA won’t be able to sustain the club.
Acknowledge that CFC have tried to address this (Gazprom etc) but it seems like at the first sign of trouble he panics and wields the axe.
Manager pay offs are ignored by ffp
I don't know the exact figures of everything that goes on at football clubs. But I personally think having a team and plan in place for the manager to come in to work on , and if he fails sack him....is cheaper then bringing in a long term manager backing him in the market to built his own team, watch him fail and then sack him, start the cycle again.....
I would say the first option is the less risky and cheaper option. It certainly is where I work. But I could be wrong, like I said I don't know the exact costs at football clubs.

Interesting. Where does the money come from then to terminate the contract of a manager (employee)?
By law it is a requirement for for it be included in the clubs tax returns, and accounts so how could Uefa ignore these monies when analysing club accounts?

Uefa only applies ffp to certain areas. One area which it doesn't include, and indeed encourages, is spending money on infrastructure, like grounds, training facilities, academies, and so on.

Yes, however any remuneration package paid to an employee (manager) has to be filed, and as such cannot be "ignored" by Uefa as Juan Eden Zola stated.
