TBH it's not a civil war so much as a mass mourning. Pretty much all Chelsea fans are pointing in the same direction right now (though some are coping with it, some are letting their grief spill into the streets and some are just embarrassing themselves)
I think the mourning of RDM is fair.
Underrated manager and has now twice been sacked wrongfully.
However the pre judged hatred towards Rafa will not help your club short term.
But the RA out articles are insane, hes the reason you are competing at a high level.
But the fans are starting to disapprove of his tactics and he needs to appease you all somehow, maybe Falcao in Jan ?
For the same reason there will be no protests - RA done more good than bad due to the sheer good. Still feel disillusioned and alienated from the FC, if we hadn't won those trophies last season who knows... Well I suppose Robbie wouldn't have been sacked anyway so it wouldn't have been so bad, as it would likely be Benitez getting sacked right now
Pre judged hate comes from three areas - he managed you, he replaced a legend in acrimonious circumstances, he failed his last job. Emotions still running incredibly high. Plus there's the Torres connection. Find me a Chelsea fan who doesn't think his last op was a $ex change.
I admire RDM for dropping Torres. It shows he has integrity and he has come out of this mess as well as anyone.
I can't imagine how Rafa will cope with having to pick players against his better judgement. It's bound to end in tears and the Chelsea fans know it.
If Rafa does well he will get teh job and he will have money to burn, lets see how good e is with cash.
Aggers surely though he will be picking Torres for the foreseeable regardless of being told to or not.
I fully think that Benitez will set the team up to play to Torres strengths, in the next 6 months you will probably see a different Torres!
RDM was in a job too big for him.
I was surprised (although understand how) he got the job.
Completely unsurprised Roman wanted a manager upgrade. It was the right decision.
I got the feeling that RDM lost the dressing room a bit. For example Ivanovic, who's turned from a beast into a b*tch, was openly critical of the tactics staright after the game.
Aggers surely though he will be picking Torres for the foreseeable regardless of being told to or not.
---------------
The trouble is that Roman seems to interfere with other aspects of the way the team is run. Rafa rails against any interference so it could be a bit of a bumpy ride.
Doubt you could join Chelsea without expecting meddling.
It's a temp job
I'm pretty sure Rafa will take a different approach than he would if he was sticking around
Should Chas and Dave's manager earn more than them. If so, then Rafa is being shafted. Again.
Whoops had two windows open and posted on our board instead of riling the Chelsea folk.
Remedied.
