I remember when Late Night hosts used to be funny. Johnny Carson has been gone for years, and would still run laps around Kimmel, Colbert, Meyers and Cordon.

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes produced a brilliant, attacking, strategic race to beat Red Bull's Max Verstappen in the Spanish Grand Prix.

Hamilton's third win in four races this season came despite losing the lead to Verstappen at the first corner.

Mercedes put Hamilton on a two-stop strategy and the seven-time champion closed a 23-second deficit in 18 laps to pass the Red Bull with six laps to go.

Verstappen bailed on his one-stop strategy after losing the lead and took second and the point for fastest lap as consolation.

Hamilton's victory was the 98th of his career, after he set his 100th pole position on Saturday, and it extends his championship lead to 14 points.

Up to 10,000 fans will be permitted at outdoor sports venues in England from 17 May, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed.

That includes the final two rounds of Premier League matches this season, with stadiums set to open to home fans only at reduced capacity.

The final two rounds of matches will be played on 18-19 May and 23 May.

"We'll unlock the turnstiles of our sports stadia subject to capacity limits," Johnson said on Monday.

All teams have a home game in either the penultimate or final round of matches.

Billy Joe Saunders says surgery "went well" as he confirmed he broke his eye socket and cheekbone in three places in Saturday's loss to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

Britain's Saunders was unable to continue after he was hit with an uppercut in the eighth round of their world title unification bout in Dallas.

Saunders' trainer called the bout off, with his fighter unable to see.

"Operation yesterday all went well," the 31-year-old said on Facebook.

"You win some and lose some, didn't feel out my league but got caught with a good shot."

Mexico's Alvarez now holds three of the four world titles at super-middleweight.

"I'll be back," Saunders added.

The 2007–08 season was Derby County's 109th season in the Football League, their 65th season in the top division of English football and their first season in the top flight since the 2001–02 season. They were promoted after beating West Bromwich Albion 1–0 in the 2007 Championship play-off final.

After a very poor start to the season, manager Billy Davies left the club on 26 November after winning only 1 game to be replaced by former Wigan Athletic manager Paul Jewell. Jewell failed to turn things around for Derby and the club spent most of the season at the foot of the table, recording a club and top-flight record run of 32 league games without a win.
