The refereeing system is a joke.
We are constantly told "They're human, they can't see everything and get all the decisions right"
On the other hand, you can't retrospectively overturn their decisions if they saw an incident, which implies their judgement is infallible.
Disgraceful dive. He could have went on and scored too.
Thought that supporting a team containing Suarez you might have been a little more in agreement TOORs!
Watched it lots if times and yes a very small touch which may well have knocked him over or slightly off balance
However it was the way that he went down that gave the ref no choice but to call it a dive
Sorry RM, but a definite knee in the back of your own knee when moving at 12 MPH is going to bring you down!
If as you say it gives the referee no choice but to call it a dive then it reinforces the argument for retrospective recinding yellows, as refs obviously can't tell the difference!
I like you Brummie Blue, not for your stance on Bale - as admirable as it is - but because you dare to speak rationally in a world full lacking rationale.
Kudos to you.. nothing will be done though
Unfortunatly Bales nothing will be done and we'll continually see exciting players turned into pariahs for being skillful and exciting, and having moron fans labelling them as 'divers'!
Unacceptable in my book!
Bale is a filthy diver and cheat.
He is also exciting and skillful.
He also enjoys hanging women's pants from his ears.
Such a multi-faceted individual.
I can see there's no point debating with you TKT!
Good night!
Wouldn't we all like to be exciting and fast occasionally? Maybe in our younger days master Bale would have been an inspiration.
We have allowed ourselves to become slow, cynical and boring. For shame.
come on BB
He's a equally capable of being the most disgraceful, disgusting, most morally reprehensible cheat in the game one minute, highlight hero the next.
The pants thing is done in private so I should have left it out.
along with diving, their is simulation. that is what bale did, he simulated as if he had been shot, even though i doubt he felt anything, hence the card.
Just seen the slo mo on motd, he is clearly taken out and a definite pen. His comments are correct, the ref can't see the fouls on him and the op has it completely correct, I've wanted yellows to be reviewed for ages as its only the right thing to do
He wasn't taken out, he was nudged by the defender's knee which seems to have located a hitherto unknown pressure point which activates the reflexes in both calf muscles and makes his legs fly out from under him. Only logical explanation.
I hate the 'going with pace so the slightest touch takes you out' argument. It doesn't if you're focused on what you're doing. Bale is always waiting for a touch, that's why he's not getting any luck with decisions
Big enough to throw him off balance?
I know there was contact, but there wasn't enough to send him flying. Just look at Aguero, the guys tiny but he still stays on his feet. I don't go in for this, "if there's contact you have the right to go down". If you can stay on your feet then you should do.
Walcott yesterday made a mockery of Bale's dive, 3 times he was hit worse than Bale and still scored
Thunderkiss...............................Even when presented with the evidence of TV replays & even Hansen & Keown agreeing it was not a dive you continue to swear black is white!!

You have obviously NEVER played the game at any level, otherwise you would know that at pace it only takes a nudge to take you down. Bale was kneed in the side of his own knee which affects virtually every muscle in the leg and that is why he went down.
What has been focused got to do with it?

You are getting really desprate now, is this the same Walcott that dived recently to get Arsenal a penalty??
Bale gets a one game ban for being brought down in the penalty area, and Fellani headbuts, punches and elbows an opponent and only gets two games more. It`s a complete joke.
By the way Thunderkiss, Walcott also admitted & apologised for diving V Leeds in 2011.........................................
Now I am not having a go at Theo, it was you that brought his name into the post!!

You can read can't you? Walcott YESTERDAY made a mockery of Bale. Yes Walcott dived recently but YESTERDAY he made a mockery of Bale's dive. And yes he admitted a while back he dived but YESTERDAY he made a mockery of Bale's dive.
As for Hansen and Keown if they told me the sky was blue I'd go have a look.
