York 0 Brewers 2.Nice and easy does it.
York 1 Brewers 1

("Postponed" could be the most likely outcome)
Long while since I got one right but lots of positive omens.
New Year's Day 2009 was our last outing to York with goals from Michael Simpson, Shaun Harrad and Marc Goodfellow bringing back the points.
0-0 in March 2008, in the season of the infamous 3-1 down, 10 men, win 4-3 home game.
Lost 3-2 in August 2006, but it was a last minute decider having twice equalised through Andy Ducros and Gary Rowett!
1-0 in 2005 with Chris Hall getting the winner and loanee Lee Bell picking up a yellow card.
And a 2-1 at Christmas 2004, Jon Shaw and Kris Taylor the scorers.
We even managed a 0-0 in the cup in 1987 when it must have been Northern Premier v old Division 3, though we lost the replay.
So a positive start to the New Year and the first three points of 2013 - 2-1 Brewers
3-0 Burton Zola,Kee,Maghoma
I predict a clinical Brewers performance resulting in a comfortable win.
York 0-2 Brewers
I think we could start the New Year well with a 3-1 win. Happy New Year to everyone who contributes to this site.
The Brewers top up the points.
York 1-2 Brewers.
Come on you Brewers.
YorkCity 2-0 Burton Albion .A bad day at the office im afraid, possibly for the brewers i fear ,hope im wrong !.
If the game gets the go ahead it will be a bogging pitch which will not help our 'Barcelona style football' lol
York 1 - 2 Brewers
Still think we will have enough to pinch the win
York looked a decent side at the Pirelli, if we defend well we'll win but i'm going for 1-1.
Going for a third win on the run, and would be probably the most impressive achievement since achieving League status.
York are a well organsed hard-to-beat side, who were apparently unfortunate not to have won at Fleetwood on Saturday. We are the underdogs with a York win being 6/5 and the Brewers 21/10.
Hope Aaron plays in the centre of defence !
I go York 0 Brewers 1 in a hard fought game.
Win this one and we have a serious challenge for a play-off place at least. Must get at them from the start - any slowness in starting will probably be punished
C'mon you Brewers! Your destiny awaits!
Brewer Dave
A tight game this one. York seem to be very good defensively but not so hot scoring. I have a nasty feeling about this one and will go for a York win 1.0. Needless to say I hope that I am wrong.
Happy New Year everyone.
C'mon York! Wish I could go and see it.
Suprised so many predicted a Brewers away win despite our poor record this season.
1 shot on target about says everything,
as i've said before we are far too inconsistant.
Oh joy, just to dampen things even more Jimmy Phillips is back.
Shouldn't even be at the club.
Why was he ever offered a contract again.
Worried about saturday as Leicester warmed up by scoring 6 today.
Hope Nigel Pearson decides to rest a few else were in trouble.
To be fair we had a bit of a shocker! We looked tired, really tired and without Zander in the middle of defence we looked weak, against an average York side.
Up front Calv and Billy just didn't click although Billy had some lovely touches, Calv just couldn't get into it. Midfield was second to everything and looked as if they had all had a very good new year's eve! Defensively we were backs to the wall for most of the game.
3 - 0 flattered York, but we got a good kicking - expect an even worse one on Saturday at Leicester if we play with the same lethargy!!
