Very nasty and will take some coming back
Get fit soon Will,, we need you back as soon as possible. All the best on your road to recovery.
Sounds bad, hopefully he'll recover ok, the highlights are here including the challenge that led to the lad being carried off, seemed innocuous enough, just goes to show.

I left the video off because it's horrible to see the point of impact.
Completely innocuous and a really good point for any who think that footballers are greedy when seeking a pay rise from lower league wages to secure theirs and their families futures, of how quick a football career can change.
Yeah, best wishes as it looked like nothing from where I was sat.
Agree Jonty and maybe those on big salaries should do more for their not so well off colleagues.
Aye Jonty, i see your point, although i'm sure there's a few moneygrabbers out there (human nature being what it is) . Hope Will Packwood recovers sufficiently to resurrect his career after that.
Yeah wish him all the best in his recovery, when the medics got the hurry up you just knew it was serious
Absolutely endorse what Jonty has said
I was in the Kop and it was clear immediately that it was something really serious. Sorry to hear that it is such a bad injury
Wish the lad a full and speedy recovery
You can hear the crack in the video, not nice at all! He is 19 so his natural growth hormone will aid him significantly.
I would like to add my best wishes to William Packwood...I was sat in the West stand, kop end
and really felt for his plight!
It is a comfort to know that Jonty, especially in these
hard, recessionary times, is the voice of the Leeds
fans, the conscience of the fan...it would be a great
help to those fans on here who get depressed by
the articles and comments, maybe inclined to
the rope and overdose, by having a phoneline or
email address to contact after reading some
comments on the Leeds forum...could you get
something going Jonty...a helpline? Obviously I
dont need it but some may really appreciate it!
Yours,
NJS (Mr. Fabulous)
Best wishes to the lad, a hard fight coming his way but I think he can do it!..
Good luck to the kid!.
Blues fans seem to be in poor voice on here these days, so I just thought I would say thanks for wishing our player the best.
I was gutted to hear that this talented teenager, who had only broke into the first team this year (and has put in a couple of motm performances) had received such a crippling injury. I just hope, with youth on his side, he can recover and show the same form he has shown so far.
True enough BET.
Fair play to the Leeds fans on here.
Best of luck to WP on his road to recovery.
Hope you have speedy recovery.
