You expect him to give an honest answer to that?
Rafa's hands are tied. If he had said otherwise Roman would've sacked him. I don't want him there but he's smarter than he looks. He got the job by telling the world he'd get Torres back to his best. This appealed to Roman as he wants his purchase to prove him right.
Why was that delusional exactly? In the 80 minutes Torres was on, we created two golden chances the likes of which Torres himself would've been castrated for missing. When Ba came on we created three half chances all made possible because at all because of Ba's personal improvisation.
Far as possession goes, we had control when Torres was on the pitch, we had control when Ba was on the pitch.
Are you joking TP?
We looked so much more threatening in terms of frequency and quality of chances. We only had a couple great chances in 80 mins Torres was on, the Mata chance (Torres was nowhere to be seen) and the Ramires chance.
From the Special One to the Delusional one.
Common denominator: Abramovitchs ego.
Enjoy!
The question posed, did Chelsea look more dangerous? Not was Ba more threatening than Torres?
I realise that's the recurring question we're all thinking currently, but Benitez being the one eyed monkey in the kingdom of the blind actually heard the question
Well someone should stamp it on the Spanish donuts forehead then.
" I dont think so " If he is being serious then we are truly farked !
Rafa is clever here. The question asked is to get a reaction off him, on a subject that is very sore right now with most Chelsea fans: playing Torres!
The clever answer is: no. What else?
However, people who have watched the game know that Ba was more dangerous in 10 minutes that Torres in 80! Ba is physical and can give a good shoulder barge if needs to be...Torres relies on being supplied with a pass wheras Ba will make something out of nothing...
Still, well played Rafa...Better than his players!
